Will you add your $10 contribution ahead of this month’s official FEC fundraising deadline?

In just a minute, I’m going to ask you to make a contribution — of $10 or anything you can — to stand with our campaign. Please give me a chance to explain why this request is so important, especially today.

You see, June is an official FEC fundraising deadline month — for us and for every House and Senate campaign across the country. When it’s over, we’re legally required to report how much money we’ve raised, and even more importantly, how many donations we’ve received.

These fundraising numbers not only translate into resources we need to organize and continue building support for our progressive agenda — they show the strength of our grassroots movement at this critical moment.

Every donation we report is another person proudly saying they stand with our shared values — everything from a Green New Deal and Medicare for All, to gun safety, expanding the Supreme Court, and abolishing the filibuster.

But right now, we’re starting this month slower than we anticipated, which means we need to pick up the pace or risk falling behind. And I mean it when I say we can’t let that happen.

So, I have to ask:

Can you make a contribution — of $10 or any amount — to our people-powered campaign? We have a gap to close before we report our fundraising numbers, and need a big day here to stay on track.

You can bet that our movement’s opponents in the fossil fuel industry and right-wing special interest groups will be going over the books as soon as they can for any signs of weakness or slowing momentum, so thanks in advance for chipping in today if you can.

In solidarity,

Ed Markey
