Donald Trump has been president of the United States for 55 days.
These long days have been a glimpse into the disaster ahead for the American people, the American economy and America’s allies.
What is the story at hand?
What is happening?
First, everything taking place is entirely predictable and completely in line with what Donald Trump said that he would do. Nobody in America should ever be made to feel foolish over this.
The American media did everything in its power, at every turn, to amplify the voices of people around Trump. They said he didn’t mean it, buying into the flimsy argument that there were good people who fenced him in, while diminishing voices that said he did mean it.
The American people watched for 10 long years as if the next day coming had no attachment to those past.
Now, clearly, every day is building towards a collapse.
MAGA’s tentacles are expanding quickly now. There should be no doubt that Donald Trump’s aggressiveness and democratic fecklessness are deeply linked.
Donald Trump’s aggressions are being driven by the appeasement that he faces and the complete, total and absolute lack of fighting spirit amongst the lackadaisical, corrupt, dishonest and feeble Washington, DC, Democratic Party.
Some might take umbrage with “corrupt” being applied to DC Democrats, so let me ask a question: what word should be used to describe this statement by Chuck Schumer after he found out that New Jersey US Senator Bob Menendez had been arrested with gold bars sewed into the lining of his suit jackets?
Bob Menendez has been a dedicated public servant and is always fighting hard for the people of New Jersey. He has a right to due process and a fair trial.
Senator Menendez has rightly decided to step down temporarily from his position as Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee until the matter has been resolved.
“Corrupt” doesn’t begin to describe it.
Now, the nation faces the consequences of its corrupt two-party system.
The MAGA fascists have a knife to Lady Liberty’s throat and a jackboot on the Canadian border, while the Schumercrats demand that they stop before making clear they don’t really mean it.
It is outrageous, and because this fight is in defense of the most profound moral values imaginable, the Democratic leadership’s appeasement is immoral.
The American people are surrounded by a threat with no foundation to stand upon because the Democratic Party in Washington, DC, refuses to stand up.
During the last 55 days the Chuck Schumer Democrats have seated Trump’s Cabinet of miserables, and been unable — with very few exceptions — to match the eloquence of a senator of the French Republic.
Despicable doesn’t begin to describe it.
When I show you this clip, I am not trying to make you laugh. I am trying to enrage you, and it shouldn’t be hard:

The Senate Democratic leadership must resign.
They won’t.
In fact, they will dig in like Dianne Feinstein, and Joe and Jill Biden.
Here is the deal:
I am sick and tired of these people’s vanity and ego.
I am exhausted by their foolishness and smugness.
So are you.
According to the latest poll from CNN, which was conducted prior to Friday’s Senate Democrats’ capitulation:
President Donald Trump, Democrats and Democratic-aligned independents say, 57% to 42%, that Democrats should mainly work to stop the Republican agenda, rather than working with the GOP majority to get some Democratic ideas into legislation.
The majority’s desire to fight the GOP marks a significant change in the party’s posture from the start of Trump’s first term. A September 2017 poll found a broad 74% majority of Democrats and Democratic leaners saying their party should work with Republicans in an attempt to advance their own priorities, and just 23% advocating for a more combative approach.
Democratic-aligned adults say, 52% to 48%, that the leadership of the Democratic Party is currently taking the party in the wrong direction. That’s another shift from eight years ago, when views on this metric were largely positive.
Among the American public overall, the Democratic Party’s favorability rating stands at just 29% – a record low in CNN’s polling dating back to 1992 and a drop of 20 points since January 2021, when Trump exited his first term under the shadow of the January 6 attack at on Capitol. The Republican Party’s rating currently stands at 36%.
Chuck Schumer’s decision was a disaster that equals Joe Biden’s selfishness in seeking a second term. It matches the gaslighting of his team of lobbyists and functionaries.
The American people will pay the price.
The Washington, DC, political committees of the Democratic Party are:
The DNC PAC
The DSCC, which is led by Schumer’s latchkey Senator Kristen Gillibrand
The DCCC which is led by Washington Representative Suzan DelBene
Do not under any circumstances send $0.01 cents to these people.
The politicians, lobbyists and consultants who lead them are inept, clueless and wasteful of your hard-earned money.
When there is a plan you should feel more generous.
What is the plan?
It must be to oppose.
It is to use every ounce of leverage, at every point of leverage, in Congress, the courts, the state legislatures, the streets and the economy to take the initiative away from MAGA, and force it to begin reacting to events, as opposed to dictating them.
Chuck Schumer avoided escalation and pain in the short-term to purchase infinitely more of both in the near-term.
This is not wise. It is the philosophy of feeding the crocodile first so that he may eat you last.
Ruben Gallego, Elise Slotkin, Mark Kelly, Amy Klobuchar, Jon Ossoff, Raphael Warnock and others must take the place of the Schumercrats. They must erase whatever lingering memory of them is in the public consciousness by acting, fighting and standing up until “the last dog dies,” as fighting Democrats used to say.
The stakes of what is happening are too high to be left in the hands of Washington, DC, careerists.
This is a time for brawlers who appreciate what Trump is.
There is no better moment that will ever be to run for political office against both MAGA and the Washington, DC, Democrats.
Run as a reform Democrat. Run against power to stand up for normalcy and ordinary people.
Do it.
Donald Trump is trying to take something from all of us.
Maybe it is because I have no expectations of Trump — and have always seen him clearly — that makes it impossible to be emotionally aroused by his idiocies and aggressions. He triggers my defiance — and often outrage — but rarely anger.
Chuck Schumer, on the other hand, appalls me.
His lack of spine and political judgement is appalling.
His lack of fighting instinct is appalling.
His mealy-mouthed arrogance about surrendering to Trump’s assault as the right thing to do so that people won’t be hurt is appalling. He said that the “potential for a shutdown has consequences for America that are much, much worse.” I beg to differ.
Chuck Schumer has made certain that Social Security checks will be interrupted within 90 days, and that Trump will be unimpeded from Washington, DC.
The American people will need to revolt to put Trump in his place.
I feel one coming. Do you?
