Add your name before midnight tonight to fight back against the AKC’s misinformation!   Stop abusive puppy mills and protect dogs! Take Action Countless innocent puppies and dogs continue to suffer needlessly inside USDA-licensed breeding facilities, sometimes called puppy mills. But it doesn’t have to be this way. That’s why we’re urgently pushing for legislation to create stronger enforcement of the Animal Welfare Act to ensure better treatment of vulnerable puppies and dogs at USDA-licensed facilities—and we’re counting on your help. At every turn, we’re being met with resistance from the American Kennel Club—a breed registry that has proven time and again that it does not care for local, state and federal legislation meant to protect the dogs it claims to care so much about. Now, it has even gone as far as spreading falsehoods about the Better CARE for Animals Act, a bill that would create tools to allow for better collaboration between the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Department of Justice so they can better enforce the Animal Welfare Act and save animals’ lives. Before I explain the AKC’s dirty tactics, can I count on you to take action now to urge your members of Congress to support this important bill and fight back against the AKC’s misinformation? Now, it’s up to us to ensure their efforts can’t sabotage this lifesaving legislation for helpless puppies and dogs.
