All while Republicans are focused on fear-mongering and dragging our country backward. We are going to build an economy that works for everyone, where housing is affordable, companies don't price gouge, and everyone has the right to make their own health care choices. Democrats have their eyes on what is to come, and with the party united and excited, we have a real pathway to victory laid out before us. That said, the GOP is going to do everything in its power to twist the truth, spread fear, and mobilize extremists. Republicans are terrified because they know that the American people want a country that is free, and that Democrats have a track record of showing up and delivering on our promises, just like Bernie said. Everything from civil liberties to the right to vote, and the right to a healthy economy. Democrats have followed through for the American people. Like former President Bill Clinton said, out of 51 million jobs created in recent history, 50 million were created by Democrats. We are in this fight all the way. In contrast, Republicans have weakened oversight, destabilized the middle class, cut taxes on the rich, increased taxes for the little guy, weakened the right to vote, and taken away the fundamental right to privacy, not just for women, but for everyone. We are so close to moving our country forward, toward a new generation of leadership focused on strengthening democracy and reshaping America into a nation where we can care for our environment, our elderly, our sick, and our neighbors.
