Our videojournalist Jon Farina is LIVE ON THE GROUND (watch stream above) in Minneapolis from the downtown government plaza as Minnesotans gather to demand the removal of President Trump’s ICE and Border Patrol troops after they killed ANOTHER U.S citizen on January 24th, 2026—beloved 37-year old community member and ICU nurse Alex Pretti.
Multiple videos and camera angles show Pretti was LEGALLY recording federal immigration agents with his phone as they launched another violent raid. Border Patrol and ICE agents then pushed him and other bystanders on top of a snow bank. As Pretti tried to assist one of the people that immigration agents shoved to the ground, he was violently yanked to the ground by several immigration agents and pinned to the ground. As one agent took his gun from him—a gun he had a legal concealed permit to carry and video showed he never attempted to use—another agent shot him at least five times…
As he was already lying motionless on the ground.
Unsurprisingly, the Trump administration IMMEDIATELY lied about Pretti, with Department of Homeland Security chief Kristi Noem and Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino lied that Pretti had charged at officers brandishing a gun in an attempt to “do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.”
At least four different videos show this to be a brazen lie by an administration who can’t keep their lies straight.
After murdering Pretti, our reporter JT Cestkowksi and videojournalist Jon Farina were LIVE for four hours as Trump’s ICE and Border Patrol agents created a WAR ZONE in the streets of Minneapolis—launching a relentless mix of flash bang grenades, tear gas, pepper balls, pepper spray, and other chemical ammunition.
