Donald Trump attempted to outdo the Democratic Convention with a speech to law enforcement this week, but things quickly went off the rails when Trump made a shockingly stupid, and completely insane, claim about crime in the United States. Trump flatly stated that a person in this country can no longer walk across the street to buy groceries without being murdered or assaulted - and he stated this as a fact. Violent crime in this country has been on the decline for several years in a row, and Republicans don't know how to handle this progress. Farron Cousins explains what happened.
