Firefighters are making significant progress in containing the Eaton and Palisades fires, though the battle remains intense. Crews have been working tirelessly to combat the raging flames, but tragically, at least 27 lives have been lost in the devastating wildfires.

 'Slightly singed' horse located after escaping owners while fleeing Eaton Fire

Forty horses were successfully rescued from the Eaton Fire, but the effort took a somber turn when one horse broke loose and disappeared into the burning wilderness. On Wednesday, however, a passerby found the missing horse and reunited her with her owners. The white horse, covered in ash and with singed hair, was a bit worse for wear but appeared healthy and in good spirits, according to her owners. KTLA's Andy Riesmeyer reports. San Diego man adopts dog brought down from Pasadena amid LA Fires

San Diego Humane Society took in 39 dogs and 1 kitten that were available for adoption to create space for fire-impact animals at Pasadena Humane Society.
