Facing electoral disaster, Trump offers $5,000 bribe to every US adult — if Republicans win midterms
Donald Trump's MAGA "midterm convention" was clearly concocted to gin up momentum for flagging Republicans ahead of November, but the wannabe dictator made it clear just how desperate the situation truly is with a laughably insincere promise to send $5,000 to every American adult — if the GOP holds onto the House and Senate.
This bounty would apparently be paid for by the "billions and billions" in tariff revenues his administration has already collected. Trump did not explain how approximately $300 billion in tariff funds, which are already tied up in the courts, would cover an estimated $1.3 TRILLION in bribes, but then such details are for suckers.
Considering Donald never delivered the $5,000 DOGE checks, $2,000 stimulus checks — also couched as "tariff dividends" — and $1,000 checks from "savings" from expiring ACA subsidies he previously promised, it's hard to see how anyone could take this nonsense seriously.
And not for nothing, Congress would have to approve the dispersal of such funds. And if you think Republican lawmakers will just go along with THIS level of market-manipulating wealth redistribution, boy, do we have news for you.

The Pennsylvania turncoat donned his favorite hoodie and made a video appearance at Donald Trump's "midterm convention" in Dallas last night, talking up his willingness to work with the MAGA cult leader and hyping his Republican colleague in the Senate, Dave McCormick, who isn't up for reelection until 2030.
Fetterman's pre-recorded bit also took familiar shots at the right wing's favorite strawman, S-O-C-I-A-L-I-S-M, and said he would forever reject "that anti-American way of life."
Fetterman's stunt drew immediate condemnations from actual Democrats, including Rep. Chris Deluzio, a progressive from the Pittsburgh area, who just days ago pilloried the senator over a Wall Street Journal report detailing the malcontent's well-documented disinterest in actually doing his job. "Too lazy to do it in person. Checks out," Deluzio joked on Twitter.

It is absolutely hilarious how Donald Trump is completely unwilling to hide his contempt and disgust for his own party's US Senate nominee from Texas — the guy he himself catapulted into the general election in place of a four-term incumbent who would've likely cruised to victory in November.
Every time the president mentions Ken Paxton in public, he says something along the lines of, "Yeah, he looks like shit, and his face is all fucked up, and he talks weird and dresses like a slob and smells like tuna fish and onions, but you should definitely vote for him because he's really special and loves freedom and loves Trump."
