IMPORTANT ISSUES! THESE ARE NOT SOLICITATIONS

I attended PUBLIC HEARINGS during which speakers from communities                          surrounding

one of that last DIRTY COAL PLANTS, BRAYTON POINT, spoke and explained that

they couldn't go outside with the COAL ASH AIR POLLUTION, elevated ASTHMA

RATES, drinking water contamination and much else.

DIRTY COAL is NOT the future of CLEAN ENERGY!

COAL ASH is dumped in UNLINED PITS that leach into GROUND WATER,

sometimes overflow like the MASSIVE TVA DISASTER.

PLEASE SPEAK OUT & REJECT THE THREATS POSED BY DIRTY COAL!

IT'S TIME TO EMBRACE CLEAN ENERGY!

ADD YOUR NAME: Tell Congress to protect disaster relief!

ADD YOUR NAME:
Tell your Congress
members to protect federal disaster relief!

As disasters continue to devastate American communities, the federal government has consistently shown up to help them recover. Time and time again, federal agencies have provided critical support for impacted communities, delivering essential resources to help them recover and rebuild.

With President Trump in office, however, federal disaster relief initiatives are under attack, facing threats of elimination.

This is your chance to make YOUR voice heard! Sign this petition to your Congressional representatives today. Tell them to take action to protect federal disaster relief — before it's too late!

As part of his Project 2025 agenda, President Trump ordered a review of federal disaster relief and froze federal disaster aid through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Small Businesses Administration (SBA), and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Citing systemic inefficiencies and political bias within federal disaster relief initiatives, President Trump argues that states would be better off managing the enormous cost of disaster relief themselves.

However, with climate change causing an increasing frequency of disasters, states do not have the resources needed to repeatedly rebuild on their own.

Take 30 seconds to add your name to this petition: Demand Congress fight to protect federal disaster relief!

While FEMA provides an immediate response to disaster relief, HUD and SBA help communities rebuild in the long-term by funding responses to housing shortages and revitalizing local businesses. Attacking federal disaster relief efforts and stripping away critical aid from states is a refusal to accept the severity of climate change and the effects that it has on American communities.

President Trump and Elon Musk’s DOGE committee have already fired more than 200 FEMA employees, including the agency’s chief financial officer, with more cuts planned for the imminent future. These funding uncertainties are already impacting key disaster relief preparedness efforts, with key personnel losing training opportunities to help them better serve communities during the next disaster. Furthermore, cuts to HUD are already having an impact on communities recovering from disaster, with survivors in western North Carolina fearing that essential funding will be delayed, and local HUD offices slated to be completely cleared of personnel. Without these federal agencies, people will be left stranded after a climate disaster – we have to take a stand and demand protection for federal disaster relief!

SIGN NOW. Join us today in contacting our representatives and advocating for federal disaster relief!

We cannot sit idly by while President Trump, Elon Musk and DOGE make yet another attack on an essential federal agency. With your help, we can stop President Trump from eliminating FEMA and ensure that millions of Americans continue to get the aid that they need.

Onward,

Sign the petition: Tell RFK, Jr. to drop out now!

Tell RFK, Jr. to
DROP OUT NOW
for the climate!

Sign this petition.

I’m writing today about a serious threat to democracy. His name is Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

RFK Jr. is running for President as an independent and is trying to position himself as an “environmental candidate.” It would almost be laughable if it weren’t so dangerous. A very real possibility is that his campaign takes votes away from Joe Biden to benefit the worst climate president ever, Donald J. Trump.

add your name to the nationwide petition calling on RFK Jr. to drop out of the U.S. Presidential race immediately!

RFK Jr’s track record on climate is pitiful, to say the least. Let’s review:

  • He thinks  “climate change is being used to control us through fear” and that this crisis is being used as a pretext for clamping down totalitarian controls.”
  • He believes that addressing the climate crisis will only benefit “the billionaire club at Davos”
  • Yet somehow he thinks “freedom and free markets are a much better way to stop pollution”

How exactly does that work? The free market wants one thing: more fossil fuels. The billionaire class made itself on fossil fuels. RFK Jr’s platform is a pro-fossil fuel platform and there is no way he would make progress on climate.

But that’s not even the worst part.

The worst part is that his role in the elections will possibly benefit Trump, who spent every moment of his presidency rolling back environmental rules to help out his billionaire buddies.

RFK Jr. is a threat to our climate. Add your name now calling on him to drop out of the Presidential race!

There are a host of other reasons to reject RFK Jr., like his vaccine denial activism and his statements on democracy. But we are a climate group and if you care about the climate, you will agree RFK Jr. needs to go.

President Biden, by contrast, is the best shot we have at solving the climate crisis. But don’t just take it from me. Take it from the New York Times

Mr. Biden has enacted the most aggressive climate agenda of any president. In addition to the Inflation Reduction Act, which is providing more than $370 billion for clean energy over the next decade, he is limiting emissions from automobiles, is poised to cut carbon pollution from power plants and has reined in future oil and gas drilling by limiting the available tracts of land and water that companies can lease.”

Since the Times wrote this, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency finalized its carbon pollution rules for power plants. And there’s more yet in store for this climate president.

Don’t let our nation get distracted. Tell RFK Jr. to drop out now!

Sign the petition: The fossil fuel industry broke the law with their lies. Hold them accountable!

Sign this petition urging DOJ to make polluters pay.
Add your name!

There’s no more avoiding it. This summer, global warming became terrifying. Historic wildfires, floods, drought, hurricanes, and more. Global heat records are making our weather systems more chaotic and dangerous than ever.

We have a simple solution: Big Oil caused the climate crisis, so they should pay to fix it.

SIGN HERE. Help us support four progressive Senators in their call for Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to sue fossil fuel companies for misleading the public on climate change.

Fossil fuel companies have known about the threat of the climate crisis at least since the 1970s, when the industry predicted global warming with incredible accuracy.

Still, these corporations have spent billions spreading doubt and misinformation about the dangers of fossil fuels and promoting climate deniers at all levels of government. In the process, they have cost us a generation’s worth of time to transition our economy onto renewable energy and reverse the terrible impacts we’re currently experiencing.

Around the country, more than 30,000 people have already signed on to the call for Merrick Garland to sue fossil fuels for causing climate change. This is on top of a growing wave of lawsuits aimed at holding Big Oil and Gas accountable.

ADD YOUR NAME. Let’s keep the momentum going. Add your name to the petition calling on Attorney General Garland to hold fossil fuels accountable. Tell DOJ to take action now and sue the polluters.

There’s established precedent for this accountability. In the 1990s, the US Department of Justice held major tobacco companies liable for violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. The fossil fuel industry has broken laws in perpetuating lies about the climate crisis – it's time for DOJ to finally hold the industry accountable.

As we continue to grapple with the impacts of climate change, we are faced daily with the repercussions of the fossil fuel industry’s lies. The cost of climate and weather disasters in the United States last year totaled more than $165 billion — making it the third-most-costly year on record. Marginalized communities, which have made the fewest contributions to greenhouse gases, have faced the most devastating impacts to their health and livelihoods.

For over 50 years the fossil fuel industry has used illegal methods to lie and distort public perception of a global crisis. It’s time for accountability NOW!

SIGN THE PETITION urging the Department of Justice to sue the industry for violation of federal racketeering laws, truth in advertising laws, consumer protection laws, and potentially other laws.
