Yesterday we wrote to you about the tragic killing of a Houston father at the hands of ICE agents on Tuesday. In the 24 hours since, what we have learned makes an already tragic and ugly picture far worse. We now know that Lorenzo was not the man the agents were looking for, and it is not clear anyone in that car was. After the agents shot him, they stripped away all of his personal effects before he was ever loaded into the ambulance, which left the hospital unable to identify him. Put that next to the eyewitnesses from the van who have vanished, the fact that ICE still has not produced a shred of proof that Lorenzo turned his vehicle on anyone as they claimed – and their documented pattern of revisionist history. What are they trying to hide? This administration is moving fast to control the narrative, and without immediate intervention, the record will disappear. Public watchdogs have to move faster to preserve the truth and demand transparency. And that’s what Arsenal was built to do. They have called Lorenzo an “illegal alien”, a criminal, and a whole lot worse that I won’t put to print in this message. But that’s not the man the rest of us see. I look at Lorenzo and I see a loving husband and father. A man who sacrificed everything and worked himself to the bone for 35 years building his American dream – all to give his kids a better future. |
