Had Enough

Ted Cruz wants you to vote for the recall effort

Last week, John Legend endorsed our campaign when he came out strongly against the recall effort.

Then, unsurprisingly, Ted Cruz attacked him as an “out-of-touch Hollywood millionaire” and made an ignorant wisecrack about crime in California.

Well, if Ted Cruz doesn’t support my campaign, I guess I’m doing something right.

Donate now to send a message to Ted Cruz that San Francisco isn’t for sale and that we’re not going to go back to a time when children were incarcerated and police acted with impunity.

DONATE NOW »

Unlike Ted Cruz, I don’t fly to Cancun when things get tough. I stay and fight with my fellow citizens to make our city a safer, fairer, and better place to live.

Unlike Ted Cruz, I don’t have billionaires bankrolling my campaign or spending millions to falsely attack my opponent.

And unlike Ted Cruz, I believe in democracy, the rule of law, and equality for all Americans regardless of race or religion.

Ted Cruz does not represent San Francisco, and I’ll be damned if we allow him and others like him to buy this office and send us backwards.

We are up against a massive fundraising disadvantage. So I need to ask: Will you donate $25 or more to fight the recall effort and keep our movement on track?

Thanks for your support,

Chesa Boudin
District Attorney, San Francisco

Chesa Boudin was elected District Attorney of San Francisco in 2019 to reform our criminal justice system. Now, right-wingers  want to reverse our progress and return our city to a time when innocent people were locked away and police acted with impunity.

Please chip in today to keep up the fight to reform San Francisco's criminal justice system.

A Shocking Weekend of Violence

CA’s record-breaking gas prices

Adam Schiff for Congress

If you’re from the Golden State, you won’t be surprised to hear that gas prices in California are the highest in the country.

With fossil fuel companies price gouging at the pump, Big Oil is raking in record-breaking profits while California residents suffer the expense. Putin's war of aggression in Ukraine also demonstrates how vulnerable the US and our European allies are when we rely on despots and dictators for our energy needs.

California Republicans are leading protests and — believe it or not — voter registration efforts at gas stations while falsely accusing President Biden of the increases in gas prices. Meanwhile, my Republican colleagues in Congress are accepting big checks from fossil fuel executives and prioritizing corporate profits over their constituents.

These high gas prices don’t make the case for more of a reliance on fossil fuels and petro-dictatorships, but less. And the only way to permanently deprive Putin of the money to make war is by devaluing his only resource — oil and gas.

And here’s the other uncomfortable truth: The United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recently published a report outlining the dire state of the planet and the urgency of reducing emissions and calling on governments to address the impending climate disaster facing our planet.

We’re not talking about a matter of decades. We’ve got a couple of years — just the next few elections — to maintain and build a Democratic majority that will act on climate.

We need to pass legislation this year to invest in clean renewable energy so we can provide relief for consumers and protect the planet, and no matter what, we cannot lose the House or Senate.

Can you pitch in $10, $25, or $50 right now to fuel my work fighting for comprehensive climate legislation in the House and to keep our Democratic majorities working for climate solutions and clean energy?

This is one of the biggest issues facing our country right now. If we work together, I’m confident we can deliver tangible change for all Americans.

Passover, Easter, and Ramadan

Bowman for Congress

I wanted to wish everyone who celebrated this weekend — whether it was Easter, Passover, or Ramadan — a blessed and happy holiday.

It's a rarity to have these major Abrahamic holidays all occur at the same time. As my family and I celebrated the hope, light, and spirit of Jesus' resurrection on Easter, I had the chance to think about our future — and reflect on the hope I have for what we can do to make it better. As siblings in humanity, I'm so excited about all the work we can do together for good. We have a chance to fix broken systems, restore justice, and create real equity.

Whether or not you celebrated this weekend, I hope you and your loved ones continue to stay safe and healthy. I'm glad to have you in this fight for the future of our democracy!

Peace and love,

Jamaal Bowman
