Trump and his cabinet lackeys won't be going anywhere after the midterms. Even if we win the House, we need the Senate too. We would only have a brief 2 year window until 2028. Washington moves like a turtle. By the time any trials are delayed by the defense, it would be several years. This rogue bunch will only be gone when and if we win the presidency in 2028 and we would also need Congress to be majority Dems. The advantage if we win the House this fall, we can start the process. You still have the DOJ under Trump's thumb and the Supreme Court. Lots of obstacles to getting rid of this infestation.
P.S. Remember when Trump told the reporters on the plane, "I go, you go," in regard to the plane being targeted? It actually seems Trump left and endangered the lives of everyone on board. He used them as decoys. Insane.
