If the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, District Attorneys will play an absolutely critical role to protect people seeking abortion. They have the power to decide whether to prosecute, even if abortion is made illegal.

But right now, conservatives are spending big to defeat strong women running for DA seats. We NEED to fight back.

Hey, I just got out of back-to-back livestream conversations with our founder Shaun King and two of our amazing candidates for DA this year.

I have to say, these conversations filled me with renewed hope for what’s possible if all of us get involved to help them win.

First up, we spoke with Brian Decker, who is running to be the next District Attorney in Washington County, Oregon. Watch and share the video now.

Brian has experience on both sides of a courtroom – first as a federal prosecutor and then as a public defender. He understands that true public safety doesn’t mean solely relying on police to address community needs. He wants to make sure those trained in mental health, addiction recovery, and social work are a part of the public safety response in Washington County.

Then, we had the chance to hear from the brilliant Allison Miller, who is running to be the next State Attorney for Pinellas and Pasco Counties in Florida. Watch and share our conversation.

Allison has been a public defender for years, representing people who cannot afford the outrageous costs of high-priced legal defense. She’s also been a tireless advocate for victims’ rights and is on the board of a nonprofit that supports people who are facing the death penalty and cannot afford representation.

This is the first time this election has been contested since 1964. If she wins, she will be the first woman and the first public defender to hold this seat, which is especially crucial in Florida right now.

We’re so proud to be fighting to elect people like Brian and Allison every single day.
