Have you been watching the January 6 committee hearings?

 

We all saw the carnage unfold live on January 6th, 2021 as a right-wing mob stormed our nation’s sacred Capitol in hopes of overturning the presidential election.

Now, the January 6th committee hearings are underway, and more harrowing details are being exposed. Pre-planned strategies for coordinating the insurrection, testimonies of top Trump staffers, and more have been revealed on prime-time TV.

We simply can’t look away from the events that took place on January 6th. It’s critical that the American people know all of the facts so we can understand what transpired and ensure an attack like this never happens again.

We’re sure the Department of Justice is watching these hearings too, and could potentially pursue criminal charges against Big Lie perpetrators — including Trump himself.

The NRA funded the January 6th insurrection and lawmakers behind it

After an armed insurrection in the U.S. Capitol and FBI warnings of threats in all 50 states around the Inauguration, you’d think the NRA would back off their extremist messaging.

Instead, the NRA has doubled down on its decades of promoting insurrectionism with lying propaganda intended to excuse domestic terrorism and historic attacks on our democracy and federal government.

This should come as no surprise. The NRA has called for armed insurrection for years. They even funded the January 6th event and the lawmakers behind it.

The NRA donated $50,000 to an organization that sponsored the “Save America” rally preceding the coup attempt. Our analysis found that the NRA also donated $525,813 to 135 (of 147) seditious lawmakers in 2018 and 2020.

Many of these lawmakers also received thousands from Corporate America, which must stop funding those who vote to overturn the will of the people.

Insurrectionism is regularly encouraged by the NRA and its top leaders, with calls to purchase firearms and ammunition to protect liberty and fight against government tyranny. A mob of thousands stormed the U.S. Capitol echoing the NRA’s long-standing message of armed revolution.
