Federal prosecutors are forever boasting an extraordinarily high conviction rate. However, once Donald Trump started appointing unqualified hacks as United States Attorneys, high conviction rates are no longer the norm. In a stinging rebuke of Jeanine Pirro's prosecutorial decisions, a trial jury just delivered a not guilty verdict in a federal felony case that Jeanine Pirro brought against homeless man who allegedly pointed a "cat toy" laser light at a helicopter that was carrying Donald Trump. What is most remarkable about the jury's verdict is that they delivered the acquittal after deliberating for only 35 minutes.
