Every single judge - trial court judges and appellate court judges, state court judges and federal court judges - who has ruled on the various gag orders placed on defendant Donald Trump, has ruled that the orders were appropriate, lawful, and constitutional. Indeed, New York's highest court just refused to take up Trump's appeal on the gag order issue. But alas, Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon is about to step to the plate and take a swing at the narrow gag order Special Counsel Jack Smith has requested in Trump's Florida prosecution. On another important front, a retired judge who served on the federal bench for 27 years, just gave an interview to NPR and opined that Judge Cannon has shown "favoritism" toward defendant Trump and antagonism toward the prosecutors in the case.
