Thanks LUKE. Appreciate your report on the UNINFORMED voters. It's striking & consistent across the nation. Too many lack basic comprehension about government & its function. They're too lazy to even look it up. "R" voters support "R" candidates regardless of how incompetent, uninformed or unqualified they are. They refuse to research candidates. Frequently, "R" voters don't even comprehend the responsibilities of the OFFICE they're voting for. There was one campaign in which the "R" candidate had never held office, didn't even know the statutory requirements (defined by state law), had no professional credentials & was running against a County Treasurer from a large county whose office budget alone was $10 million. I campaigned for an impressive candidate running against a corrupt & incompetent REPUBLICAN, knocked on lots of doors, shared factual information, & invariably got the response "WE only vote for REPUBLICANS." Another "R" candidate, as school committee member, opposed replacing 10 year old SCIENCE TEXT BOOKS because she said 'Science doesn't change.' MAIL-IN BALLOTS also make it possible to research a candidate or office you're unfamiliar with before casting a vote. Look it up while you're still in your pajamas.
