Late night thoughts: They think we're going to accept the status quo. They're wrong.

Special Interests want to knee cap the progressive movement. In doing so, they cripple the future of our democracy.

Nothing changes if nothing changes.

Dear Friend,

It’s Sunday evening, trying to figure out the best way to share what’s really happening behind the scenes of this election cycle. I couldn’t rest until I reached out to tell you what we’ve learned over and what we’ve accomplished with your generous support over the past few months, and the emerging threat that lies directly ahead of us.

When we launched the Campaign for an Informed America, we set out to build a truth-telling counterweight to the right-wing machine. Thanks to your donations, we hired a top-tier graphics news producer and exploded our impressions by 173%, with 28,000,000 impressions delivering cold, hard facts directly to 20 million voters in key swing districts over the past month due to the support of our donors and subscribers. Thank you

Now, with just 100 days until the midterms, we need to urgently scale up. We must hire a dedicated video editor immediately to produce short-form video that meets younger voters where they are—on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok—shaping opinions before the lies take root. We are only $150,000 away from fully deploying our advanced behavioral, sentiment, and demographic targeting and advertising across critical swing districts.

A Different Threat to Our Democracy

We knew we were up against a billion-dollar, dark-money MAGA media machine. But, a different threat to our democracy is emerging. It’s not a new threat, but it’s revealing itself to be a much bigger threat to the future of our democracy as we get closer to the midterms. It hits close to home, and it’s urgent.

We are fighting corporate and special interest PACs that are now pouring tens of millions into Democratic primaries to back establishment candidates who promise to protect the status quo. These PACs aren’t interested in meaningful, systemic change or defeating fascism; they care about preserving their own access and power to influence laws and profits. They want elected representatives who will put the wants of corporate and special interest PACs, ahead of the will and needs of their constituents.

Just look at what the “status quo “ has inflicted on everyday Americans while claiming to fight authoritarianism and promising to hold Trump and corporations accountable: Corporate data centers are popping up in states where Democratic governors promised to push back, dirtying the air we breathe and putting the safety of our drinking water in constant jeopardy. Gas is costing working families hundreds in extra expenses every month, while food prices crush household budgets and corporations rake in record-breaking profits. At the same time, private prisons fill up as federal agents terrorize our streets, and corporate tech giants track where we drive and what we do every day, handing that data directly over to the government. To make matters worse, our moral standing and strategic leadership abroad are crumbling—dragging us into unending conflicts while working-class sons and daughters pay the price.

All the while, elected officials turn a blind eye because those same corporate interests fund their campaigns.

It is a modern oligarchy, and establishment politics is actively enabling it.

When our elected officials abandon their oath and make decisions that directly benefit outside interests and corporate PACs, they pass laws that run completely counter to core American ideals. They gut our safety nets, erode our protections, and enact policies that are wildly out of touch with the public good. When leadership governs against the best interests of the very constituents who elected them, it naturally triggers deep instability, public outrage, and chaos across our institutions. And that artificial government volatility is precisely what turns into massive, sensationalized news.

The Profitting of Chaos: Everyone is Profitting EXCEPT Americans.

This self-inflicted chaos in government feeds directly into the modern media apparatus. For cable news outlets and TV pundits, political volatility and public outrage aren’t just events to report—they are profitable business models.

When corrupt corporate policies cause government breakdown and civil tension, news networks get higher ratings, fill lucrative commercial slots, and keep their high-paying positions secure. When progressive candidates rise up vowing to ban special interest money, end corporate loopholes, and restore power to the people, they threaten that comfortable cycle. So, TV pundits go on air under the guise of “defending democracy” to criticize grassroots candidates and push the narrative that only status-quo candidates are “electable.”

Is this preserving democracy?

They all rail against MAGA fascism on TV, yet they routinely protect the very corrupted financial system that elects those who enable it in the first place. Like the MAGA right, the corporate are putting their own platforms and livelihoods over what is truly best for the American public and the future of our democracy—-even if it means that their capitulation erodes the first-amendment protections that protect the platforms that inform the citizenry.

Who can we trust when every major institution benefits from keeping corporate money and special interests at the center of power?

The Profitability of Chaos: Pundits, News Networks, and the Ultimate Betrayal

This self-inflicted chaos feeds directly into the modern media apparatus. For cable news outlets and TV pundits, political volatility isn’t just an event to report—it’s a profitable business model.

Meanwhile, it’s exhausting to all of us in the fight.

When corporate PACs buy influence, elected officials pass corrupt policies that line corporate pockets and harm everyday citizens. The resulting public outrage translates to one thing: big news days, every single day. Outrage drives higher ratings, sells lucrative commercial slots, and protects high-paying pundit salaries.

So, when progressive candidates step up vowing to ban special interest money and restore power to the people, they threaten that entire gravy train. In response, TV pundits go on air under the guise of “defending democracy” to attack grassroots candidates and label real systemic change “unelectable.”

It’s the ultimate case of leopards eating their own faces. Pundits and some legacy and cable media loudly rail against MAGA fascism on air, yet actively protect the corrupted financial system that elects its enablers in the first place. By capitulating to corporate money for short-term ratings, these media elites are making a fatal bargain. They are blind to the reality that by eroding our democracy from within, they are destroying the very First Amendment protections that allow their own platforms to exist. When they no longer exist, the masses won’t be informed with the facts to make the right decisions at the ballot box to defend democracy.

An oppressive system never spares the pundits who helped build it—it eventually turns on everyone.

True Morality Means Governing for the People

Look at what happened with Graham Platner: he was no beacon of moral conviction—he committed unacceptable, indefensible acts. The moment those allegations came to light, some Democrats wanted to turn their backs comparing it all as a “nothingburger” compared to the actions of the Trump administration, a significant portion of Democrats stood up and said, “He has to go”. Because morality, decency, and basic human integrity aren’t optional bargaining chips for us; they are core tenets of who we are, and they cannot be sacrificed for political expediency. That is why so many fought relentlessly to push Platner out as our nominee, even when it meant risking or sacrificing a slam-dunk opportunity to flip a red Senate seat blue. Doing the right thing had to come first.

But if we are going to hold the line on morality, that standard cannot end with personal conduct—it must extend to how we govern and how the news is reported.

True morality means governing for the people, not in service to corporate PACs and special interest groups. It is an affront to the very democracy we claim to be fighting for when politicians talk about ethics while surrendering our air, our water, and our economy to the highest bidder. The establishment’s willingness to protect a broken, corporate-dominated status quo just to maintain party power is the exact same cancer that plagued Republicans—putting the Party and profits over the people. If we are going to claim the moral high ground, we have to stand on it everywhere—and that means demanding leaders who serve the public interest, not corporate profit margins and big, fat campaign warchests to protect the status quo.

Democracy shouldn’t be bought with multi-million-dollar ad spends. Democracy is winning the old-fashioned way: by being a willing public servant whose policies actually serve their constituents.

Getting corporate money out of politics is the one thing they are terrified of—because without their money guarantee, they have to answer to us, the people.

Digital Precision: How We Win

While traditional Democrat political operations are waste time and money fighting a fast changing Democrat electorate, they’re not building the modern digital infrastructure required to defeat fascism and fight back against the MAGA media machine. At Lincoln Square, we can’t sit back and watch. We’ve been cracking the code and fighting on the very same platforms where voters form opinions and mobilize.

Democrats have historically struggled on the digital front, but our team has spent years analyzing sentiment data and building hyper-targeted audiences. We don’t just post content; we deliver undeniable facts that break through the noise.

Our digital strategy is already shifting opinions where it matters most:

  • Government Surveillance: Visuals produced by our new news producer exposing police officers charged with using FLOCK surveillance cameras to stalk women reached 7 millions of swing-district voters.

  • Corporate Influence: Interactive graphics breaking down how to check if primary and general election candidates take corporate PAC money reached another 5 million voters.

  • Environmental Exploitation: Investigative graphics exposing the dangers of corporate data centers reached 3 million voters in flippable districts, opening eyes to how local policies were bought out right under their noses.

Altogether, our short-form videos and graphics highlighting political corruption and corporate influence reached over 5 million additional voters in critical districts. A sampling of some of our content with the most reach and engagement below:

We know how to reach voters on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, but we urgently need to scale up our amplification to match the flood of dark-money lies. We have the data, we have the strategy, and we have the proof that it works. Now, we just need more resources to take it to every corner of the country.

The Midterm Election is the Ultimate Test: Building the Resistance for 2028 and Beyond

Let’s face it: what we’re doing right now as a country isn’t working. We cannot keep tweeting, protesting, and criticizing if we turn around and elect the same politicians who hand the keys of our democracy over to corporate special interests.

Everything we are doing today—every dollar raised, every voter informed, every seat fought for—is building toward one primary, non-negotiable goal: creating a massive, self-sustaining groundswell of mobilized Americans to reclaim our nation in 2028.

The 2026 midterms are the ultimate proving ground. This election is the test of whether a true people-powered movement can take on billionaire-backed war chests on both sides, defeat corporate-bought candidates, and elect unapologetic fighters who answer only to the people. When candidates are powered by the people, they have no choice but to serve the people. That electric, unbought leadership fuels constituents, ignites hope, and creates a contagious momentum that no political machine can extinguish…and that’s exactly what we need to reclaim America.

We are standing at a critical fork in the road, facing a fundamental question about the future of America:

What kind of country are we going to be?

Will we be a nation that preserves our Constitution, safeguards individual freedoms, restores American pride, and protects the prosperity of working families? Or will we surrender to an authoritarian state and corporate oligarchy that exploits the people, robs us of the American Dream, and dictates how we live, breathe, and survive?

This is why 2026 cannot just be about picking candidates; it must be about launching a broad, unbreakable movement that is ready to overwhelm the system in 2028. History shows us that fascism, corruption, and oligarchy are not defeated by clinging to a broken status quo. They are defeated when millions of everyday people show up in numbers so overwhelming, so unified, and so powerful that the results cannot be rigged, bought, or denied.

To deliver 1 billion impressions to 200 million voters over these final 100 days—and establish the digital infrastructure needed to win in 2028—we need your help right now. Every single dollar —100%—goes straight toward high-impact graphics, short-form video, and precise digital targeting. No high-priced consultants, just data-driven digital experts and news graphics staff creating, deploying and amplifying the facts to mobilize voters.

Every $25 allows us to reach 2.500 voters in key swing districts on the platforms that most Americans form their opinions.

Wil you please chip in $2.50, $25, or $250 today in honor of the next 250 years of our Republic—if we can keep it.

Let’s restore what’s right. Let’s defeat the MAGA lies, break the stranglehold of dark money, prove our power in 2026, and take back our democracy for 2028 and beyond.

We can win this.

Thank you for standing on the good side with us.

With urgency and resolve,

Velda at Lincoln Square.
