Fauci Just Humiliated Rand Paul In Front Of The Entire World
Five years led to this. Trump’s Supreme Court threat died in silence. Comey called it revenge. A teachers union froze NVIDIA cold.
Rand Paul has spent five years hunting one man, and Wednesday he finally got him in the room. It didn’t go the way he planned.
That’s the story of this whole edition. The regime keeps building traps, and this week almost none of them closed. A Supreme Court deadline expired without so much as a filing. A federal indictment came back for round two and immediately got called out as revenge. A city that Big Tech assumed was already bought froze the deal cold.
Moments like that usually get forgotten by tomorrow unless people like us keep them alive. Hit the ❤️ like button and restack this before you keep reading. A like tells the app more people should see this. A restack sends it straight to someone who’s never heard of us.
Paid subscribers get something else today too. Right below, I’m putting twenty-three years of campaign experience into breaking down exactly why the Senate map just got easier for us—the kind of read you won’t find anywhere else. If you’ve been on the free list for a while, this is a good day to fix that:
THE REPUBLICANS QUITTING
Sixty million dollars couldn’t save John Cornyn. Ask the rest of them how they’re sleeping.
A dozen Republican senators are leaving at the end of this cycle. Single digits are normal. Each one of them walks out the door with a donor list they spent twenty years building and a leadership PAC that had been feeding the party committee every quarter. The candidates replacing them are starting from scratch in an election year.
Texas GOP Sen. John Cornyn had all of it and it bought him nothing. Eighteen million from one super PAC alone. Senate Majority Leader John Thune and the NRSC backed him—they said out loud he was the safer bet against now-Democratic nominee James Talarico. He’d held the seat since 2002 and run the whip operation. Then Trump endorsed Ken Paxton with a week to go, and on May 26 Cornyn became the first Texas Republican senator ever to lose his party’s nomination.
Cornyn spent five years trying to avoid exactly that. He didn’t vote to convict. He endorsed Trump in every general. Every Cabinet nominee, both terms, yes. He turned around on the border wall after opposing it. What sunk him was something he said in 2023 about Trump’s time having passed. Sen. Thom Tillis read the same tea leaves in June—voted against the Medicaid cuts anyway—and quit the same day Trump went after him.
That’s NRSC money going into Texas now. Same in Kentucky. Louisiana. Seats that used to send money out are pulling it in. Sen. Susan Collins is down three in Maine. Former Gov. Roy Cooper is running for an open seat in North Carolina. The committee has less to spend in both.
They tore the machine apart themselves. We net four seats and the Senate’s ours.
COMEY CALLS OUT TRUMP’S REVENGE
MACHINE
Seashells. James Comey is facing a federal indictment because of a photo of seashells on a beach arranged to read “86 47”—posted to Instagram in May 2025, which the Justice Department has decided constitutes a threat against Trump.
Late Tuesday his lawyers filed 54 pages in North Carolina federal court asking a judge to throw the whole thing out, calling it payback. Their argument leans on the regime’s own words: “Ample objective evidence—much of which comes directly from government officials’ own public statements and admissions—establishes that the President’s animus toward Mr. Comey led to this vindictive and selective prosecution.” They also allege Trump had the Secret Service watching Comey over the post.
The former FBI director has beaten this once already. A judge tossed the first indictment in November after ruling prosecutor Lindsey Halligan was never lawfully appointed. Rather than take the hint, the regime went back and got a second one.
FAUCI REFUSED TO WALK INTO PAUL’S TRAP
GOP Sen. Rand Paul subpoenaed Dr. Anthony Fauci, published a thousand pages of his private pandemic diaries, and told anyone with a microphone he wanted the man behind bars. Wednesday morning Fauci sat down at the witness table and declined to answer a single question.
He explained why first. Paul’s “obvious obsession with calling for my prosecution” and “repeated slanderous comments” left him one conclusion, he said: “the sole reason he is calling me before this committee is to get me to say something that could vindicate his repeated public pledges that I end up, in his words, ‘behind bars.’” Then he took the Fifth.
Paul had spent Tuesday insisting there was no danger to the retired immunologist. “There’s no risk to perjury if you tell the truth,” he told a reporter, before helpfully listing everything Fauci could confess to instead. Fauci gave him none of it.
TRUMP’S BIRTHRIGHT FIGHT DIED IN
SILENCE
Nothing appeared on the Supreme Court’s docket Monday—which was the last day Trump had to ask the justices to reconsider killing his birthright citizenship order. The deadline simply came and went with no filing at all.
He’d made a lot of noise about it on July 8, announcing in capital letters that he would be seeking a rehearing IMMEDIATELY and calling the ruling a miscarriage of justice that would destroy America.
The ruling itself came June 30 in Trump v. Barbara, six votes to three, holding that he can’t strip citizenship from babies born on American soil—the executive order behind it had already been frozen by lower courts before it ever reached a single family.
Reporters asked the White House and the Justice Department what happened. Neither answered.
HILLSBORO STOPS BIG TECH’S LAND GRAB
Oregon’s largest teachers union sued Hillsboro last month over $84 million in tax breaks the city quietly handed NVIDIA, CoreWeave, and a handful of other tech giants to build 17 data centers. Monday night the city council caved in front of everybody.
They called a special meeting and voted a 120-day pause on new data centers into effect on the spot. Any project that hadn’t already filed is locked out, and the council can extend the pause another six months when the clock runs out.
Mayor Beach Pace didn’t dress it up as anything but surrender to public pressure. “The Hillsboro City Council has heard the questions and concerns from our community about data centers in Hillsboro,” she said.
Big Tech treated this town like a zoning department with an open cash drawer, and a teachers union slammed it shut.
This is how we save our country. We keep showing up until the people in power are forced to listen. And if they refuse to budge, we run massive social media campaigns and flood their offices with letters and calls from their own constituents. From you.
Our readers here have sent more than 800,000 letters to Congress since November of 2024, and if you go back to 2016, we’ve sent millions more.
All of it—the resistance, the organizing, the great news we publish every single day—is funded by our paid subscribers and no one else. Join them today and help us sustain this fight through November and beyond:
Wait! Before you close the tab—hit the ❤️ like button and restack this edition. A like tells the algorithm somebody cared. A restack drops it straight into the feed of someone who’s never heard of us. Four seconds, and the Hillsboro and Fauci stories reach a stranger who’d never find them otherwise.

COMMENTS:
I think Rand Paul humiliated himself by asking stupid questions and trying to make Fauci look bad which is impossible to do. That show was not worth anyone’s time except to show how desperate the Republicans are.
Paul should have remembered who he himself is: a failed ophthalmologist who can't get along with anyone.
And - once again - he proved exactly that: failed, and unlikeable. Not too bright either.
I still don't get why or how someone like Rand Paul gets voted into office???
REALLY!
It's the South, the land of semiliterate inbred white trash morons who insist on publicly celebrating their abysmal ignorance
Consider that an ophthalmologist who hyper focuses on the eyeball will not retain much medicine learned in medical school especially if he’s a corrupt politician. Now does anyone seriously think Paul has the knowledge or credibility to even shine Fauci’s shoes? He wanted vaccinations and republicans said no. He wanted mask and republicans said no. He warned social distancing and republicans said no. The botched pandemic response claimed 1 million Americans so someone had to be vilified, blamed. Jailed even. Bravo for Fauci and his magnificent display of fine sportsmanship. Scapegoating and gaslighting are like bookends when the government controls the way you think, what to believe (sorry, that’s church). But that’s church and state for you right there and what MTG was hollering and yapping about for years.
Republicans said "No!" starting on April 7, 2020, when the news came that Black people were the group dying in the most numbers, followed by Hispanics and the other people of color whose jobs didn't allow them to work from home like the White middle class. COVID suddenly became the way for Republicans to kill nonwhites in Blue States, a dream come true for the Confederate White People's Treason Party.
He's jealous because Dr. Fauci has a long list of actual scientific accomplishments. Paul's claim to fame? He was such an asshole that his neighbor (also a physician) kicked his ass.
Rand Paul has been humiliating himself for the past 5 years in his demonizing hunt for Dr. Fauci. This will become his legacy, not anything good and decent that he fought for.
He's never fought for anything good or decent. Republicans from the Confederacy don't do such things.
Paul must be desperately jealous. Fauci has made earth-shaking medical contributions, and Paul's ambition was to sit on his daddy's lap. Arthur Conan Doyle didn't like ophthalmology, either, so he decided to make himself famous to the end of time by writing the Sherlock Holmes stories. And Paul's ambition is to try to spit on doctors who are better than he is?
And when Trump needed him to discredit Fauci boy did he jump.
Well, the regime is encouraging Crazypants Paul to pursue his insane conspiracy obsession, because they are trying to rile up the anti-masker MAGAts in time for the midterms. Unfortunately MAGAs have the memories and attention span of goldfish. The regime is getting desperate, but they are running out of distractions.
Yet another distraction from.... are you ready..... EPSTEIN!!!!
Fauci: unshakable even under absurd pressure!
The man is as solid as can be! A great example of what we all should practice during these strange times. Keep your powder dry. :-)
What a mensch!
Brilliant dedicated patriot. Honorable. Unappreciated.
He may be unappreciated by the fools who comprise this godforsaken administration, but he is certainly VERY MUCH appreciated by those of us who were mindful of his advice on mask-wearing, sanitizing, social spacing and staying away from public gatherings; when the vaccine became available we heeded his call to get it asap. Consequently, millions of us stayed healthy throughout the pandemic.
I think Dr. Fauci is an American Hero and I contemptuously spit upon Rand Paul, Bernie Moreno, Josh Hawley and all the other monstrous a-holes of Congress and this administration who joined with Paul to try and trap the good doctor into saying something--anything--that they could use to persecute and prosecute Dr. Fauci.
Dr Fauci the steadfast - he saved us all.
Fauci refusing to play the spectacle, a Supreme Court deadline that vanished, and a city that paused a massive tech giveaway. This week felt like a string of small, powerful moments that reshape the whole fight. Thanks for being here and reading!
Thanks for bringing the good news to the people!! It feels great, doesn’t it?
His performance was stellar, a masterclass.
Dr Fauci is a true American hero, a brilliant and compassionate scholar and clinician, the best of all he best!
Glad we had Fauci during Covid.
As he led the nations response to HIV/AIDS and Ebola nothing could have prepared him for the sheer level of arrogance, dumbfuckery and evil as in the Trump regime.
You said it well
One hates to think of where we would be today, if not for him and his managing to deal with DJT, too boot!
A national treasure
Dr. Fauci: Honest, Compassionate, Competent, Humane, Selfless.
Fauci - a very brave and honorable man. That is why Rand Paul is after him. Rand is so jealous because he has never been brave or honorable. He needs a whole lot more than a testosterone shot!
Dr. Fauci stood between us and the great man who wanted to inject Clorox into our backsideds!
That a dedicated public servant for years, gets treated like this is a travesty! Dr Fauci is a HERO!!!
Per Wikipedia: He contributed management of viral diseases: HIV/AIDS, Swine flu, MERS, Ebola, COVID-19. Additionally, he had significant role in creating the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and pushing for development of biodefense drugs post 9/11 attacks.
They used Dr. Fauci as a public punching bag while privately begging him for personal help (like the Millers). As soon as it was politically convenient, they turned him into a villain.
We are watching the most heartless, power-hungry, ego-driven, and self-enriching people run our government. Sure, every politician has a touch of narcissism, but this level of extremism is destroying our nation’s trust, integrity, and dignity. We have a bird's-eye view of the absolute worst among us.
VOTE BLUE THIS NOVEMBER. And if they don't deliver when it matters most, primary them out in 2028!
Maybe Rand Paul can come up with good questions after the November elections when Trump, Melania, the rest of this rotten family along with other individuals aiding and abetting every abhorrent crime they have perpetrated is finally brought to the public. I doubt seriously he'll engage questioning. He's a weak, pathetic Republican.
Thank you, Scott, for keeping me sane and charged up. I'm so furious over this attack on Fauci that I'm spitting nails.
These people are so corrupt that they'll try to destroy a good man rather thank risk dear leader's wrath.
If pathetic was a man, it would be Rand Paul. It was always obvious why his neighbor kicked his ass...
Bravo to Dr. Fauci for standing up to theses awful Republicans senators they all need to be out of congress. I hope their constituents will have the backbone to vote these bad people out of office
Rand Paul has been humiliating himself for the past 5 years in his demonizing hunt for Dr. Fauci. This will become his legacy, not anything good and decent that he fought for.
Fauci: unshakable even under absurd pressure!
Don't the Republicans have better things to do???
OMG
Well, not when distraction from the regimes criminal activities is the goal
Speaking of Dr Fauci ....today's Daily Haiku for You is in his honor!!

So happy to hear our communities in Oregon are fighting data centers. Let's keep this up everywhere!!
Regarding FAUCI, this is PUBLIC HEALTH and the FAILURES to appropriate address the PISS POOR U.S. PUBLIC HEALTH SYSTEM that is grossly understaffed and underfunded, as well as the conspicuous poor scientific education of the population.
Below is an impressive article by Susan J. Demas worth reading, but I would note that there are several things omitted.
#1 Wasn't RAND PAUL the BOOB who went to the GYM knowing he had COVID?
#2 THE COMMONWEALTH FUND compared STATES' PERFORMANCE DURING COVID.
Gov. Charlie Baker referenced their report in his FAREWELL SPEECH:
2022 Scorecard on State Health System Performance
How did states do during the COVID-19 pandemic?
https://www.commonwealthfund.org/publications/scorecard/2022/jun/2022-scorecard-state-health-system-performance
#3 Rump promoted this WHACK-A-DOODLE doctor STELLA IMMANUEL who believes ALIENS INVADE YOUR SLEEP among other nonsense.
DESANTIS appointed a follower, JOE LADAPO to protect FLORIDA's PUBLIC HEALTH.
$4 Let's also remember that REPUBICAN GOVERNORS promoted SUPERSPREADER EVENTS.
Trump promotes a doctor who has claimed alien DNA was used in medical treatments

RFK JR eliminated CRUISE SHIP inspectors and there was a HANTAVIRUS outbreak on a CRUISE SHIP. (HANTAVIRUS is spread in RODENT FECES).
WE have a MEASLES EPIDEMIC that's being ignored.
WE have a massive CYCLOSPORA outbreak that is inadequately addressed. My understanding is that once the PARASITE is introduced to the public market, it is difficult/impossible to accurately determine its source.
We Learned All the Wrong Lessons from COVID. This Week’s Fauci Hearing Proves It.
MAHA isn’t a wellness movement. It’s a suicide pact, run by people who are either sociopathically indifferent to the death toll or willfully blind to it.
