John James says he’ll represent the district, because voters overwhelmingly supported access to reproductive healthcare. But on the record, he’s compared abortion to genocide, has spoken against abortion even in cases of rape and incest, and voted to restrict safe, legal abortion medication. And he has even supported a speaker of the House and presidential nominee who have called for a national ban on abortions. I am sick of watching John James show more concern for my refrigerator’s rights than my rights (yes,he voted for a bill called “Hands Off Our Home Appliances”!). And as Donald Trump picks up momentum, James isn’t even trying to hide his contempt for a woman’s choice anymore. I won’t stand for this. Don’t let James’ turnaround soundbites distract from his record - he’s waging a war on our reproductive rights and has promised to ‘not stop fighting until we end abortion.’ It’s one of the reasons why I know our district is already ready for change.
