At the end of the month, all of our fundraising numbers will go public for everyone (including Brian Kemp) to see.
If these numbers were released tomorrow, it would be bad news for us. Right now, we aren’t on track to meet our June fundraising goal.
But here’s the good news: a surge of grassroots support right now would put us back in a winning position.
The reality is that Kemp has been running for reelection for three years.
Kemp’s early fundraising lead is already paying off. He’s spent more than $3 million to build up his presence on the ground, and his team has gone on record as willing to spend “whatever it takes” between now and November.
GOP strategists are going to be looking at our fundraising numbers for any sign of weakness. We have to close the fundraising gap between our campaign and his before this public deadline.
Thanks for being a part of our team,
