WATCH: MSNBC’s Chris Hayes Dives Into Scapegoating of D.A. Boudin

Last night, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes did a segment on his nightly show about today’s recall election.

Hayes highlighted Fox News’ obsession and “breathless coverage” of crime statistics in San Francisco. Unsurprisingly, Tucker Carlson did his own segment about the recall election last night as well -- claiming that “law and order has been effectively suspended.”

You can watch the full segment here or by clicking the image below. But here’s the gist: Data show that rises in violent crime rates in San Francisco pale in comparison to that of other cities like Indianapolis, Washington, D.C., and others. And those cities have much more traditional, “tough-on-crime” prosecutors.

Take a look, and please consider making a last-minute donation to help us get our voters to the polls TODAY:

Here's the bottom line: Blaming me, “the left,” or people who want to reduce our country’s incarceration rate from being the highest in the world, has become very useful for the right-wingers who want to take us back to a time of mass incarceration in our major cities.

Republican Senator Tom Cotton recently said we have an “under-incarceration” problem. I fundamentally disagree with that.

We have a chance today to send a message that our movement is alive and well. Please help us.
