Mother’s Day is this Sunday, and I want to share an event that’s close to my heart.
The Louis D. Brown Institute’s Mother's Day Walk for Peace (MDW4P) is a beloved, 26-year-long Boston tradition and celebration of our ongoing work to create more peaceful communities.
The Peace Institute is a center for healing, teaching, and learning for families and communities impacted by homicide, trauma, and grief.
The Mother’s Day Walk for Peace is their largest fundraising event — and it was where my mom, Sandy Pressley, took her last activist steps.
There is healing in unity. And through your support today, you can help family members and loved ones find peace and community.
In solidarity,
Ayanna Pressley
