McConnell’s super PAC Senate Leadership Fund has reserved $27 million worth of TV ads in North Carolina to try to buy this seat and install a rubber stamp for Republicans’ agenda to raise taxes and take away our rights.
This investment is a clear message that they are prepared to spend whatever it takes to install either failed former Governor Pat McCrory or Trump’s DC insider Rep. Ted Budd. National Republicans don’t care who their nominee is because they are confident either one will fall right in line.
That was on full display this week as Republicans doubled down on their commitment to severe restrictions and bans on abortion — even in cases of rape or incest.
The truth is, if we lose this seat, McConnell will have a loyal foot soldier ready to push forward their extreme agenda — rolling back our rights and further destroying decades of progress on voting rights, racial justice, women’s rights, LGBTQ+ equality and more.
