These brands got big fat Fs just in time for summer school

Ever wonder what happened to those kids in the back of the class who never pulled their weight? Bad news — they found work at some of the world’s biggest brands.

That’s right: Some of the world’s biggest brands are getting straight Fs on the environment and human rights — let’s tell them summer school’s in session.

The slackers at Procter & Gamble, Mondelēz, Nissin, JP Morgan & MUFG Bank are this year’s worst of the worst: Responsible for rainforest destruction, theft of Indigenous lands and violence against local and Indigenous communities. Even though they said they’d do better on paper last year — they clearly crumpled up their promises and threw them in the trash.

Like any good teacher, we won’t just give up on our worst students, we’re calling them back to class for the summer — and we won’t let them off the hook until they pass with flying colors.

So it’s time to ramp up the peer pressure: Despite their failures, these flunkies are listening to you, and they know they need to do better. We just need to keep these corporate misfits under pressure and in the spotlight — will you help us?

The truth is, we ALL depend on the world’s remaining rainforests to survive. That’s why we CAN’T allow for failure. Together, we’ll turn these corporations into A-students on rainforest protection.
