The Supreme Court is deliberating on a case that could gut the ability of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to stop corporate polluters from pumping deadly, climate-wrecking emissions into our atmosphere.
This is a brazen assault on the federal government's power to protect the people it serves from toxic air pollution and worsening climate change.
We're preparing to fight back with every tool available to us. As we develop our strategy, we want to hear from you: Do you believe that the EPA should be able to determine how much pollution corporations are allowed to belch into our air?
Should the EPA be able to regulate corporate polluters? | |
After you share your opinion, please consider donating to the NRDC Action Fund to power our 2022 midterm elections get-out-the-vote operation, supercharge activist organizing efforts, and fight for climate and clean energy legislation in Congress — all to create the change we need. Any gift you make will be MATCHED 3X for triple the impact!
Fossil fuel giants and anti-environment politicians have worked for decades to infiltrate government institutions and implement their big polluter agenda.
The result is a Supreme Court with a supermajority of conservative justices who are ignoring precedent and common sense for political purposes — at the expense of our planet and our future.
We're immediately ramping up to fight back — by defending the EPA and other key federal environmental agencies in court, recruiting and training activists to speak up, and mobilizing pro-environment voters to turn out in November's crucial midterm elections.
I'd love to hear from you, because when you share your thoughts, you help us create winning campaigns that serve us all. Just click "YES" or "NO" on the question above.
Thanks for taking a moment to add your voice.
Sincerely,
Kevin S. Curtis Executive Director, NRDC Action Fund |
