SF Chronicle: Boudin recall margins narrow, with voters split 55% to 45%

Hi, it's Chesa Boudin.

As I shared with you earlier this week, I’m as determined as ever to build a broad, diverse, and strong coalition that is deeply committed to justice. I remain just as committed to fight for criminal justice reform.

And, by the way, San Franciscans are, too.

Despite the media’s rush to write our political obituary last week, the margin of ballots cast in favor of recalling me has narrowed considerably. The margin is now just 10 points compared to the more-than 20 point defeat the media claimed last week.

Put simply: Criminal justice reform is alive and well. And I’m nowhere close to done fighting.

But I still need your help, to wind down our campaign, retire debt, and begin our efforts to pick ourselves off the mat. So if you are able to chip in $20 or more, I would appreciate it.

We know that the right-wing billionaires and police unions that outspent us 3 to 1 aren’t done either. So we need to keep the fight going.

I’m not discouraged, and I know you’re not either.

Thanks for your support,

Chesa Boudin

Chesa Boudin was elected District Attorney of San Francisco in 2019 to reform our criminal justice system. Now, right-wingers  want to reverse our progress and return our city to a time when innocent people were locked away and police acted with impunity.

Please chip in today to keep up the fight to reform San Francisco's criminal justice system.
