Groupon, the major discount and travel company, continues to sell reduced price tickets to unsuspecting tourists for venues that exploit wildlife. We exposed one of these venues to you in our last email and we continue to urge Groupon to stop profiting from wild animal suffering and adopt a public policy that protects animals and doesn’t exploit them. Join us now to help us keep wild animals where they belong. In the wild.
Today, we wanted to share a video of an elephant named Mae Gohagae showing how she lives a natural life in her sanctuary where she is not required to breed, entertain, or have direct contact with visitors. You will hear from Drinya, our elephant venue project manager for our offices in Thailand, and you will see how the public is still able to enjoy and respect Mae Gohagae at a distance in a way that protects her. Mae Gohagae will never be able to return to the wild and survive, but here she has experiences that replicate the freedom that she would experience in her wild home. All wild animals deserve a life worth living. Join us as we call for Groupon to stop promoting these cruel destinations and work to end all wildlife exploitation. |
