Frank,
On Saturday, June 11, my family and I marched in solidarity with Louisville's youth to call for an end to gun violence.
Later that night, while holding Baby Justyce, I learned of a mass shooting a few blocks from where we marched that left several young people fighting for their own lives.
My heart breaks thinking about how much our community has been through. Gun violence is and has been an unyielding public health crisis. Our solutions must be comprehensive, and they must be immediate. Thoughts and prayers are not enough, but they are still needed.
Frank, we are still marching for our lives. We are marching for our children, who deserve to learn in our schools, not be gunned down. We are marching because inaction is not an option.
Enough was enough a long time ago. I am running to retire Rand Paul this November so we can FINALLY pass common sense gun reform. Please help me win this race by chipping in today:
The Second Amendment was never meant to be a license for school shootings and daily homicides.
But as long as the NRA and gun lobby are around — and politicians like Rand Paul accept their donations — this constitutional right will be what it was never supposed to be.
That’s why I’m running against Rand Paul, a Senator with a 92% NRA rating who’s accepted more money from the gun lobby than any other Senate candidate this year. Rand Paul has made it clear that he will always vote to please his donor friends from the gun lobby rather than save lives.
Thank you,
Charles
