It doesn’t stop here

 

We knew that today’s ruling overturning Roe v. Wade was bound to come. That doesn’t make any of this easier to take. What we didn’t know was how much further extremist judges like Clarence Thomas were going to take this. In Clarence Thomas’ concurring opinion, he made it clear that the court would be coming for marriage equality and birth control next, saying that those rights were decided by “erroneous” opinions. It has never been more important that we elect national leaders who will defend our rights. Please, help the Democratic Party of Georgia as we fight to elect leaders who believe in abortion rights, marriage equality, and the right to birth control. If we fail in our mission to keep the Senate blue – if we fail in our mission to flip the Georgia governor’s office – then ALL of our rights will be at risk of being plucked away. It’s starting with abortion rights, but it won’t end here, and we CANNOT afford to fail in our mission right now, in this critical moment.
