When rescuers reached her, the extent of the cruelty became clear. The zip ties around her legs were so tight they had cut off circulation, leaving her limbs swollen and severely injured. Her entire body was covered in urine scalding and infection. She was shivering, in shock, and fighting to survive after enduring unimaginable pain. Police have now charged 63-year-old Roy King with multiple felony counts including torture and aggravated cruelty to animals. But charges alone are not justice.
