… Don Jr’s new girlfriend Bettina Anderson is the one who wanted Kim Guilfoyle shipped out the country, according to reporting from People: “Bettina wants Kim out of the area,” according to their source.
… More from their source: “Don Jr has been dating Bettina for about six months. He even took her on a trip to Alaska and introduced her around as his girlfriend when he was still very much with Kim. For the most part Kim has looked the other way because she loves the power and lifestyle.”
… Another source from Palm Beach told People that Anderson “is a party girl and outgoing, Don is smitten with her. She’s a big Republican and wild. Kim is not a nice person and always wants the limelight. Don and Kim are over, but they are going to offer her a position and she will be happy.”
… The source turned out to be right - the position is US Ambassador to Greece, because Trump damn sure isn’t going to hire her and pay her out of his pocket.

To justify it, Trump said he was a successful billionaire who founded a multinational corporation. But the NYT reports his company sells trucks and machinery in Nigeria, made a profit of just $66,000 last year, and his stake in the company is valued at virtually nothing. The entire company is worth less than a million dollars.
… Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) claimed on Fox yesterday that Iran was launching drones over NJ: “I’m going to tell you the real deal. Iran launched a mothership that contains these drones. These drones should be shot down. The military is on full alert with this.”
… That caused WH Spokesperson John Kirby to make the following statement from the Pentagon as a press conference today: “There is no evidence of foreign based involvement. We have not been able to, and neither have state or local law enforcement officials, corroborate any of the visual sightings. To the contrary, it appears that many of the reported sightings are actually manned aircraft that are being operated lawfully.”
… Fox has been running breathless hype stories on this for days that we are supposedly being invaded by Iran and Joe Biden won’t do anything.
… Van Drew was back on Newsmax after Kirby’s press conference and was asked about the Pentagon’s statement refuting his claims: “I am confident that my source is giving us a real possibility. Could it be something else? Absolutely.”

… President Biden commuted the sentences of nearly 1,500 people last night who were already released from prison after serving their sentences but were still on home confinement or supervised release, which is basically probation. He also pardoned 39 people for non-violent offenses who demonstrated they have turned their lives around after their convictions and made a positive contribution to society.
… AP reported examples of those pardoned which included a woman who led emergency response teams during natural disasters, a church deacon who worked with drug addicts and youth as a counselor, a doctoral student in molecular biosciences, and a highly decorated military veteran.

… Democratic candidate for Gov of NJ Mikie Sherrill released her own internal polling to HuffPost that shows she is leading her nearest competitor in the Democratic primary by 13 points among likely voters. The general election is November 4, 2025.
… Pete Hegseth told Fox that he does NOT agree with Elon Musk and others that Senators like Joni Ernst should be primaried just because they vote against him. He says this because he knows they won’t listen. He will probably run against one of them himself.
… After his meeting with Trump at MAL, Mark Zuckerberg donated $1 million to Trump’s inaugural committee. All the oligarchs are doing what oligarchs do. They belong to a different kind of green party.
… Zuckerberg did not contribute to Trump’s inaugural in 2017 or Biden’s in 2021.

… Political engagement is way, way down on Zuckerberg’s Threads and Musk’s X. They can’t seem to figure out why. The answer is Bluesky and Substack. Laura Loomer: “Does it feel like posts are getting heaving suppressed on X?”
… Also, Musk had the algorithm juiced up to amplify right-wing accounts in the months leading up to the election, now they are all griping that their engagement has cratered. Loomer’s post received tons of replies from right-wing accounts all complaining about it.
… Trump nominated Kari Lake to head the Voice of America. This is a state media outlet that broadcasts news to the world. It will now include a heavy dose of programming on why Donald Trump is the New Messiah. There are still a bunch of hoops Lake has to jump through to get approved. This isn’t like other appointments, and it could take a while.
… After Reuters reported that Ric Grenell was being considered as Trump’s Special Envoy to Iran, Trump posted on Truth Social: “Ric Grenell is a fabulous person, A STAR. He will be someplace, high up!”
… The bottom line here is that Grenell has already been passed over for both jobs he wanted - Sec of State and CIA Director - and he is pissed. He got Melania two separate $250,000 payments to give 10 minute speeches to the Log Cabin Republicans where all she had to do was come downstairs from her bedroom. So far he has nothing to show for it.
… Grenell has been in Trump’s orbit kissing his ass for the last 4 years and he is reportedly not happy that he hasn’t been able to feed at the trough yet. I seriously doubt the Iran gig is something that Grenell wants. Terrible job, and they don’t especially like gay men. At least not publicly.
… From Tucker Carlson’s speech at an event at MAL: “You’ll never meet a guy who whines less about himself than Donald Trump.”
… Punchbowl news is reporting that Nancy Pelosi is actively campaigning for Gerry Connolly to be ranking member of the Oversight Committee over AOC. This is being hyped by Republicans as Pelosi knifing AOC because she doesn’t like her. I hope this is just Pelosi going through the motions to try and help old friend Gerry knowing he has already lost.
… It sounds like Sen Jon Ossoff wants very badly to run against Marge Greene in his re-election in 2026. He fully understands that would be a gift in what will be a very tough battle for him. He noted on MSNBC last night that Trump has pledged to fully supporter her if she runs, which would give her a big boost in a Republican Primary.
… Of course, Ossoff is also using her name to raise funds early. He understands that Democratic candidates in her overwhelmingly Republican district have raised lots of out-of-state money despite the fact that they had no chance to beat her, and hopes to tap into some of that emotional giving for a race that she could definitely lose.
… The person Ossoff really doesn’t want to run against is Gov Brian Kemp, who is term-limited in 2026 and is rumored to be considering a run to set himself for a future presidential bid. If he doesn’t run, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reports that Kemp protege John King, who is the Georgia Insurance Commissioner, will likely run with Kemp’s backing.
… Bottom line is that Ossoff really wants Greene to run. With good reason.
… Elon Musk posted a clip of a new interview Kash Patel gave to Glen Beck where he claimed that the Nashville school shooter’s manifesto was blocked from being released to the public by the FBI: “The FBI airmailed into that operation and said, ‘This is not getting out.’ They do that because this another Government Gangster operation.”
… Except that release of the manifesto is not being blocked by the FBI and never was. It is being blocked by a lawsuit filed by the families of the victims who don’t want the mass school shooter glorified. Patel is just making this up, like so many other things.
… Patel also claimed that the the Covenant School was a Catholic school. It is not. Patel is a congenital liar. I just hope the staffers in the House do their homework on him before the confirmation hearing. Because this guy lies like he breathes and there are hundreds of hundreds of right-wing podcast interviews of him out there.
… Patel has also claimed in his book that he was the lead prosecutor in the Benghazi case. But Mother Jones is quoting several agents and prosecutors involved in the case who said he was barely involved. Some quotes from them: “Oh my God, no. Not on Benghazi.” “I don’t recall Patel having any influence on it.” “He wasn’t a very experienced attorney and was dismissed by some of the attorneys at the table. The message was - we’re not paying attention to you.”
