The American Climate Corps is here, and it’s ready to put America’s young people to work on clean energy, conservation, and climate resiliency projects across the country.
Right now on www.acc.gov there are hundreds of new jobs posted from Massachusetts, to Louisiana, to Idaho, and everywhere in between.
Make no mistake — this accomplishment would not be possible without the work of our Green New Deal movement and the supporters like you who push that movement forward.
I’m proud that the ACC is based on the legislation that Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and I introduced alongside the Green New Deal, to make the goals of jobs, justice, and climate action a reality.
But the truth is, we still have so much work to do to build on this progress and fully confront the climate emergency unfolding before us.
Simply put, I’m still in this fight. I’m still pushing for urgent climate action in Congress, including new Green New Deal legislation that deals with public health, public schools, and criminal justice reform. And our campaign is working to support climate advocacy efforts across the country.
So if you’re still in this fight too, I need your help.
And if you know anyone who may be interested in joining the new American Climate Corps, please, send them to www.acc.gov or use the button below.
In solidarity,
Ed Markey
