Ted Budd is a bought-and-paid-for DC politician.

 

Here’s what you need to know about Ted Budd now that he’s officially our opponent:

• He’s a Trump loyalist who has been in lock-step with the far-right wing of his party, including when he pushed the Big Lie and voted to overturn the election on January 6. That’s why he was one of Trump’s first endorsements of the cycle.


• He would likely be another Republican vote for a national abortion ban. Axios reported he even “has left the door open to banning abortion in cases where a mother's life could be at risk as well as in cases of rape and incest.”


• Even other Republicans have said Ted Budd is a “bought-and-paid-for politician.” His campaigns have taken nearly a million in corporate PAC money because special interests know he is a reliable vote for their agenda, and it’s why a far-right corporate super PAC spent over $12 million to buy the Republican primary.

Now the full Republican establishment is coming in to prop up his campaign. The national GOP and their dark money apparatus will spend and say anything to install Ted Budd as a rubber stamp in the Senate.
