What do you get when you pour fuel on a right-wing fire?

Win Without War

It’s a revival of racist, right-wing nationalism.

Reactionary candidates are winning elections outright or coming dangerously close across the globe and authoritarian leaders from Russia to Saudi Arabia are aggressively carving up their spheres of influence. At home, a racist “America First” movement seems only to be growing stronger, with candidates and current officials from the mayor’s office to the Capitol pushing dangerous policies we spent four long years resisting.

And we’re about to spend upwards of a TRILLION DOLLARS in taxpayer money on the violent policies and institutions that keep it going: defending and maintaining a white supremacist status quo in the United States; sending troops to Somalia and continuing our complicity in Yemen; reinforcing walls to keep Brown immigrants out; and more. Enough

It is time for a fundamental reckoning. This year, with allies like Senator Warren and Representatives Lee and Pocan fighting in Congress, we’ll have a shot to push back on the war profiteers and get our priorities in order. And we are going ALL IN.

Our team is seizing this moment to mobilize a public pressure, media, and advocacy movement strong enough to build a coalition in Congress that can shift astronomical sums away from a false “security” and into true safety. It’s possible, but it won’t be easy — and that’s why we need you with us along the way.

A monthly gift is one of the most important ways you can support this work. Click here to stop Congress from rubber-stamping another blank check for “security” spending with a monthly gift of $7.

Win Without War is on the frontlines fighting against this rising tidal wave of right-wing nationalism and runaway Pentagon spending.

We’re behind the bold and visionary Foreign Policy for the 21st Century Resolution that Reps. Pramila Jayapal and Barbara Lee introduced in Congress earlier this year. We pulled together a powerful panel to support a revitalized Iran nuclear deal, and push for peace, not war. And we’re working around the clock to ensure funding for human needs — refugee support, humanitarian aid, food security — makes it to Ukraine.

Every day we are punching above our weight to make sure that voices from grassroots activists like you are heard loud and clear in our nation’s capital. But if we want a chance at fully going up against the weapons industry, the nationalistic hawks in Congress, and the entrenched foreign policy establishment, we’ve got to go even further.

Right now DC is awash with talk of war and peace: Russia’s war in Ukraine, the rise in global and domestic right-wing nationalism, the next great power competition, resealing the Iran deal. And too many in power think throwing more money at the Pentagon will take care of it.

Our work is cut out for us. The Democratic governing majority alone isn’t enough to turn our demands into policy. This shift will only happen with UNPRECEDENTED constituent pressure, activism, and advocacy — and it’s got to be strong enough to overcome an entrenched status quo mindset AND the lobbyists paid to keep it in place. It’s what this moment requires and it’s exactly what an organization like Win Without War is built to do.

Just 30 new sustaining donors could make a huge difference in helping us meet our fundraising goals. If it’s in your budget, fuel this work with a monthly $7 donation today.

Thank you for working for peace,

Sara, Yint, Shayna, and the Win Without War team
