YOUR WONDERFUL AND INDISPENSABLE WORK: I am in full support of RSN and have found it immensely helpful in keeping abreast of our body politic from a perspective which is not driven by money but by the appeal to truth and accountability among all the institutions of our government as well as among all of us who are citizens of this country and world. I have sent what is for me a significant contribution to you. RSN at the end of this calendar year. I hope that your cause will not only survive but thrive in the months and years ahead, because I for one am fully convinced that we as citizens need what you provide. Thank you.

Bess Levin | Marjorie Taylor Greene Apparently Can't "Recall" Anything That Happened in The Last Three Years
Bess Levin, Vanity Fair
Levin writes: "Introduction, but just for yuks, we'll say the words 'Jewish space laser.' And 'QAnon.' And 'the so-called plane that crashed into the Pentagon.' And 'liked Facebook posts that advocated for violence against Democrats, including one that suggested shooting Nancy Pelosi in the head.'"

The congresswoman simply couldn’t remember anything about her alleged role in the January 6 insurrection—or before that—while being questioned under oath on Friday.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is a woman who needs no introduction, but just for yuks, we’ll say the words “Jewish space laser.” And “QAnon.” And “the so-called plane that crashed into the Pentagon.” And “liked Facebook posts that advocated for violence against Democrats, including one that suggested shooting Nancy Pelosi in the head.” And “mask mandates are as bad as the Holocaust.” And “gazpacho police.” Yes, in her short time in Congress, the Georgia representative has made quite the name for herself, and it’s one that’s synonymous with violent batshittery and a heaping dose of self-satisfied ignorance.

Anyway, Greene was ordered to testify at a hearing in Atlanta on Friday because some voters from her district think she should be disqualified from running for reelection due to allegedly helping facilitate the January 6 insurrection, and wouldn’t you know it, the congresswoman’s under-oath testimony apparently coincided with her coming down with an acute case of selective amnesia in relation to anything that happened in the last three years.

For instance, asked if she spoke to anyone about January 6 demonstrations prior to being sworn into Congress or after, if she spoke to anyone in the government about the planned protests, if she spoke to Arizona reps. Andy Biggs or Paul Gosar about them, if she spoke to anyone at the White House about them, or if she had been told by anyone that there might be violence in Washington on January 6, Greene responded, “I don’t remember”—to every single question.

If she, like others, advocated for Donald Trump to use martial law to stop Joe Biden from becoming president? Naturally, Greene could not remember.

Videos that might make her look bad being conveniently removed from Facebook? Obviously, the congresswoman couldn’t “recall” how that happened.

Claiming Pelosi was guilty of treason and thus should be executed? Starts with “I don’t,” ends with “remember.”

Declaring, the day before January 6, “this is our 1776 moment”? We’ll give you two guesses as to whether Greene remembered anything about that, but you’ll only need one!

Greene is the first Republican member of Congress to publicly testify under oath about the January 6 attack on the Capitol. Incidentally, while Greene may escape this whole thing with her congressional seat intact—because the legal theory her opponents are using is pretty much untested in modern history (a similar case against Madison Cawthorn was thrown out by a judge in North Carolina and is now undergoing appeal) and will likely ultimately land on a Republican’s desk, plus there’s the whole thing about Republicans routinely getting away with everything—she and her colleagues should probably know that her alleged inability to remember anything about anything doesn’t mean she can’t be nailed for perjury.
