onslaught & The Beasley Beat: Cheri Beasley for North Carolina’s Weekly Newsletter

Cheri Beasley for North Carolina

$5.

That’s the donation we’re asking you to make today. Here’s why:

With Cheri as Democrats’ presumptive nominee, it is no longer a question of if Republican super PACs are going to attack us but when.

This is one of the closest, most competitive Senate races in the country, and our opponents will stop at nothing to win.

One far-right super PAC is already spending $14 million to prop up Ted Budd’s campaign just in the Republican primary, and the GOP’s Senate Leadership Fund just bought $27 million in TV ads to try to buy this seat for whichever Republican wins the primary.

And these are only initial investments. Just imagine what Mitch McConnell and these super PACs are willing to spend before Election Day attacking us.

Our campaign is going to face an onslaught of millions of dollars of false attack ads. So we need to fight back and make sure we have the resources to get Cheri’s message in front of voters.

Please donate $5 or any amount you can today. Our official pre-primary FEC deadline is 4 days away, and we need as many donations as possible before then to prove we can compete with the corporate and dark money heading our way.

Cheri cannot do this alone.

- Team Beasley

EARTH DAY ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Beasley Beat: Cheri Beasley for North Carolina’s Weekly Newsletter

Happy Earth Day! It’s been another great week for us here on Team Beasley!

Cheri Outraised the Entire U.S. Senate Field, Again!

Cheri has once again outraised her Republican opponents this past quarter, raising $3.6 million with $5.1 million cash-on-hand. Our campaign received contributions from all 100 counties, and 91 percent of donations were $100 or less.

This quarter, Cheri raised more than all of the Republican candidates, combined, and more than double what Congressman Ted Budd and former Governor Pat McCrory raised. That’s why the Associated Press called Cheri “the most prolific fundraiser in the field.

But we also learned that Mitch McConnell’s PAC is reserving $27 million in ads for the fall to try to buy this seat. So we can’t afford to stop working this hard to raise the resources needed to win in November. Small donations from all 100 counties in North Carolina have made it possible for us to campaign around the state and get Cheri’s message out to voters. Our final FEC deadline before the primary is less than one week away, and we need another strong showing to prove the strength of our campaign. Please consider chipping in today!
