IMPORTANT ISSUES! THESE ARE NOT SOLICITATIONS
On a warm day in June, two people witnessed a dog being abused. As you would have, they both called 911, and officers arrived shortly thereafter. After arresting the individual and rescuing the dog, the officers discovered a cat, a chick, and a mouse inside the person's vehicle. 🥰You will be happy to know that all four animals are safe and healthy, and that they will never see this individual again.🥰 While the dog and cat went to forever homes, we offered to help with the chicken and mouse. 🐥The chicken is only 9-weeks-old and is the sweetest girl! We named her Chia, and she would like to perch on your shoulder! 🎥You can meet Chia virtually by watching this video! 🐁I adopted the mouse, Nutmeg, after my daughter and I fell in love with his sweet personality. Chia is safe and sound because people like you saw something and took action. If you believe we can create a kinder world through rescue and good care, we could use your help:

At Animal Place, we share your values of compassion and kindness to other animals. 🐮Around the same time Chia was pulled from that car, another special soul came to the sanctuary - August, a 4-month-old calf. A local shelter confiscated him from an individual who could not provide the young calf proper care. You can tell that August did not receive proper nourishment - his coat is brittle, dirty, and coarse. One front leg is shorter than the other. Initial veterinary assessment indicated he might have a neurological issue. We consulted with a neurologist at UC Davis, and they do not believe August’s issues are neurological. We will monitor him closely, but right now he is comfortable and well-fed. August is VERY shy but he LOVES treats. My daughter has been spending time with him, and he seems really curious about her.🎥 Watch them enjoy a special moment together. 🐄Want to choose an item just for August? He would love more treats, special forage, a mineral lick, and joint supplements - all of these can be purchased directly from our wishlist! 🐮You can donate $5, $15, or $25 toward the care of August - he will be neutered soon, which will cost between $300-400. And if you cannot donate, I completely understand! Times are tough for so many of us. Feel free to comment on or like the videos above to support us on social media! We appreciate you!
