A Note from Dan

There is no way to sufficiently express my gratitude to all of you who’ve offered your condolences. You have proven once again that the Steady community is a close one. Your notes of sympathy and support, thousands of them, have buoyed me in this time of great sorrow. Your thoughts mean so much to me, my children, and my grandchildren. Jean was my world for more than 67 years, but we all must carry on.

This has been a tough week, but I want you to know that Steady will continue. It will resume shortly, as I attempt to bring some sense and steadiness to these challenging times.

I was in line at a coffee shop a few weeks ago. In front of me, a mother asked her teenage daughter what she wanted for Christmas. Without hesitation, the daughter replied, “Democracy.”

Amen. One month on, the outcome of the presidential election still weighs heavily on so many of us. I will be here, with Jean’s memory as my guide, for as long as I am able.

Again, a deeply heartfelt thank you.

Stay Steady,
Dan
