Supreme Court puts details over democracy; appears poised to keep Trump on presidential ballot

 



During the Supreme Court argument on whether Donald Trump is disqualified from holding office under the 14th Amendment for engaging in insurrection, the Supreme Court justices put details over democracy. This video reviews the arguments in Donald Trump v. Norma Anderson - the case in which the Colorado Supreme Court disqualified Trump from the Colorado state ballot - and discusses how the justices got bogged down in the details and seemed to lose sight of the big picture: that the plain language of the Constitution disqualifies Trump from holding office.
