Decency

 

 

I'm reaching out today to talk about why this campaign is so different. It comes down to one word: decency.

Like you, I've been shocked and dismayed by how vulgar and mean-spirited our politics have become. I was devastated to learn of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Leaders should work to unite us around policies that will help everyone, not divide and distract us. And I know from experience that it starts at the top.

Every day I strive to live according to The Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

That's why I'm standing up to Ron DeSantis, and I'm standing up for Floridians. Florida deserves somebody who will fight for our shared values. If you agree, I hope you'll join me in this effort by donating whatever you can to bring back decency in our state.

The truth is, self-serving politicians try to divide us so that we don't realize how much we actually agree on. But after talking to people across the state, I can promise you — Floridians agree on a lot.

★ We support common-sense gun reform to put an end to the terrible mass shooting.
★ We support women's autonomy over their own bodies.
★ And we overwhelmingly support following the science to guide us out of the COVID-19 pandemic instead of spreading anti-vaccine conspiracy theories.

Unfortunately, Governor DeSantis doesn't agree with the vast majority of Floridians on these issues. That's why it's so critical that we send new leadership to Tallahassee.

I've been working hard to talk to as many voters as possible and I've got good news: Our message is resonating. The latest polling from The Listener Group shows we're beating Ron DeSantis.
