#ENOUGH

Over 1,300 U.S. children were killed by gunfire in 2020. Young people today have grown up in the shadow of gun violence. They have never known a world where schools, movie theaters, malls, houses of worship are free from the terror of gun violence.

On April 20th, 2022, the 23rd anniversary of the Columbine High School tragedy, young people across the country are coming together to draw attention to the gun violence epidemic with a powerful program, #ENOUGH: Plays to End Gun Violence.

#ENOUGH selected eight short new theatrical works by young writers from across the country to be presented in a ground-breaking series of simultaneously staged readings in multiple cities on the same evening. From New York to Portland, Chicago to Orlando, Atlanta to Milwaukee, the goal of this cross-country effort by more than 50 communities is to spark critical conversations about gun violence and inspire meaningful action.

We at the Alliance are proud to be a presenting partner this year. We are hosting a reading at Town Hall Seattle on April 20th at 7pm. We would love to see you there. RSVP today! If you are not in Seattle, you can find a reading near you here.
