Trump fumes over Nobel peace prize snub and criticizes Norway
Trump declared that he deserves EIGHT Nobel Peace prizes in a 600-word tantrum posted to Truth Social in which he viciously trashed Norway, whining that "this is an indelible stain on the country of Norway, and those people that made such a disgraceful and embarrassing decision,” and that "“the Nobel peace prize has been forever discredited by a handful of radical ideologues who are anti-democracy and really enemies of civilization!"
Uh, did he forget that he started a war of aggression and then immediately massacred 156 schoolchildren and their teachers in one of the most heinous war crimes this century? Not exactly "Peace Prize" material. More like "cell at the Hague" material.

Zelenskyy furious as Trump announces deal to buy Russian diesel
In a desperate last-ditch effort to lower the price of diesel before the midterms, Trump announced he had made a deal with Russia to lift sanctions and purchase diesel in a huge betrayal of Ukraine. Zelenskyy was furious at the news, saying that it was "not fair and honest" and that "it looks like a happy birthday present for Putin. It looks absolutely terrible." Unfortunately for Trump, Ukrainian officials announced announced they would still be targeting Russian oil facilities and immediately bombed Russia's diesel export facility at NZNP Rostovsky in Rostov-on-don. Additionally, if we take Trump's tweet at face value, the announcement that Russia would be immediately delivering 300,000 tons of diesel works out to about 14 hours worth of gas for the entire United States. We have a feeling that isn't going to help.
Trump ally’s mercenary forces reportedly ambushed in Congo
Private military forces belonging to President Donald Trump ally and Blackwater founder Erik Prince were reportedly ambushed in the Democratic Republic of Congo last month, leaving roughly 20 people killed or injured. Former UFC fighter Tim Kennedy is among the injured. It sure would be nice to know what the fuck Erik Prince and his personal merc army was doing in the jungles of the Congo and why Tim Kennedy is getting treatment at Walter Reed Military Medical Center for *actual soldiers.*
Little Marco delivered what we're sure he thought was a rousing speech about how great "Western civilization" is with lots of the ahistorical, imperialist narratives that you usually find in right-wing rhetoric, explicitly painting Iran as a civilizational enemy and how the West is at a crossroads and Rome fought barbarians and we need to return to the old values and blah blah blah. Utter claptrap.
In response, the Iranian Speaker of Parliament said "Throughout history we Iranians have faced those who declared themselves masters of the universe and sought to erase ancient civilizations. They came in fire and flame, only to depart in dust and shame. Those who chase Alexander’s legacy will share Valerian’s fate: you will kneel."
It's pretty clear which man has actually read the history books.
