$1.5 trillion.

That's what Republicans want for bombs, missiles, and contractors -- the largest military budget in American history, double what it was just five years ago.

Here's the double-cross: To get it, they’re planning to gut the social contract -- diminishing the quality of life for most Americans. Social Security. Medicaid. Medicare. SNAP. The Affordable Care Act. Public transit. Housing assistance. Public health. They’re all on the chopping block.

To create an arsenal aimed at the whole world, they’re devising a budget aimed at us.

It's time for us to take back that money and put it where it belongs -- people, not Pentagon contractors.

Republicans in Congress plan to pull together all that money in three steps:

  1. The NDAA: July 22. The House narrowly passed $1.15 trillion for defense. Senate Democrats blocked it, but Republicans are regrouping and coming back for more.

  2. Appropriations: $1.07 trillion for the Pentagon -- the largest appropriation ever proposed -- is paired with nearly $13 billion in cuts to the programs families actually need. And the White House wants an additional $67 billion in "emergency" spending.

  3. Reconciliation: A fast-track maneuver. The House has passed yet another $73 billion for the Pentagon. Zero Democratic votes will be needed in the Senate.

As of right now, Senate Republicans do NOT have the votes to pass it on their own. Let’s keep it that way.

Send a message to Congress demanding they reject the $1.5 trillion military budget and oppose any package that cuts human needs to provide more money for the Pentagon.

SIGN & SEND

Republicans have already cut more than $1 trillion in social spending in their Big Brutal Bill — while ICE, Border Patrol, and the Pentagon got billions more in funding. Real people lost real health coverage. Low income kids went hungry. These outcomes are not hypothetical; they’ve already happened.

And the Pentagon has still never passed an audit. More than half its budget disappears into corporate contracts, with no one accounting for the rest.

We can’t let such an unaccountable agency get a blank check from us. Not while seniors and minimum wage workers have to choose between medication and groceries.

This fight is just getting started. There will be committee votes, floor votes, and conference negotiations over the coming months. Every single stage is a chance to take back ground for people over profiteers. But only if Congress hears from us, now, loud and clear.

Send a message to Congress to demand they reject the $1.5 trillion military budget and oppose any package that cuts human needs to provide more money for the Pentagon.

Thank you for fighting to take back American dollars for the good of the American people.
