I know what it’s like to run against a Republican with high name ID and a national donor network behind him — I’ve done it before. And I won.
Now, Chris Pappas is facing the same kind of threat in New Hampshire. Donald Trump has personally endorsed former Senator John Sununu in this race — and the latest polling shows this race is a complete tie.
Look, in order for Democrats to take back the Senate majority and put an end to Trump’s unchecked power, winning in New Hampshire is absolutely critical.
That’s why I’m in this fight with everything I’ve got. And why I’m asking you to please pitch in $5 right now to help Chris Pappas stand up to big-money Republicans, compete against John Sununu, and keep this seat blue.
Chris is a Granite Stater through and through. He’s not in this for power or prestige or to cozy up to billionaires. He’s in it to make life better for working families — the folks who get up every day, work hard, and are struggling to get by. He’s fought Big Pharma to lower prescription drug prices, stood up for veterans, and protected reproductive rights when they’ve been under relentless attack.
Chris Pappas fights for the people — not the wealthy and well-connected. He shows up, he listens, and he gets things done. That’s what New Hampshire needs, and it’s what working people across the country need.
But Republicans know New Hampshire is one of their best shots at flipping a Senate seat this year. Sununu has the name recognition, the right-wing billionaire network, and the full weight of the national GOP behind him.
We’ve seen this before. Special interests will flood races with corporate money and try to buy Senators who will work for them instead of their constituents. We can’t let this happen in New Hampshire.
If you believe, like I do, that government ought to work for working people — not the rich and powerful — then I’m asking you to please chip in to Chris’s campaign now to help him compete and win.
I know Chris has what it takes to win this race. But we all need to make sure he has the resources to fight back against this massive right-wing spending.
