Block Trump’s election-denying Wall Street pick for intelligence chief Send Your Letter Donald Trump wants to put a Wall Street insider, election denier, and yes man in charge of America’s intelligence agencies. Jay Clayton has no business serving as director of national intelligence. He has no real intelligence experience. What he does have is a long record of serving Trump, Wall Street, and billionaires. As Trump’s SEC chair, Clayton fought regulations meant to protect investors and everyday people. He came from the corporate world, governed like a Wall Street ally, and showed the public exactly whose side he was on. Then Trump made him a federal prosecutor — even though Clayton had no prosecutorial experience. In that role, Clayton repeated false claims about California’s recent primary election, echoing Trump’s attacks on democracy instead of defending the truth. Tell the U.S. Senate now: Reject Jay Clayton before Trump puts an unqualified loyalist in charge of America’s intelligence agencies.
