MASSIVE ANTI-TRUMP PROTEST IN DENMARK

Thousands braved the subzero cold in Copenhagen yesterday to join Danish Veterans in a silent protest outside the US Embassy. They gathered to condemn Trump’s mistreatment of US allies, and his threat to take over Greenland.
During the protest, demonstrators planted 52 Danish flags around the embassy to honor the soldiers killed in Afghanistan and Iraq. Combat Veteran Martin Aaholm, who lost both of his legs serving in Afghanistan, said he feels “angry and betrayed” because he has “sacrificed a lot … all because I was placed on the path of helping America after 9/11.”
BIG ANTI-ICE PROTESTS

This week, large crowds gathered all across the country to protest against ICE. On Saturday, demonstrations continued—with rallies in dozens of cities, and a general strike that began on Friday.
Organizers are demanding an end to local cooperation with ICE, the defunding of the agency, and the immediate withdrawal of federal agents from their communities.
DEFEND MINNESOTA BENEFIT CONCERT

Tom Morello from the legendary rock band Rage Against the Machine hosted a benefit concert in Minnesota on Friday night to raise money for the families of Renee Good and Alex Pretti—two Minnesotans killed by federal agents in the last month.
Morello surprised the crowd with special guest Bruce Springsteen, who performed his new song “Streets of Minneapolis,” which he wrote and recorded within the past ten days. In it, Springsteen sings: “In our chants of ‘ICE out now,’ our city’s heart and soul persists—through broken glass and bloody tears, on the streets of Minneapolis.”
Morello said: “We tried to create a little bit of the world that we’d like to one day see in that venue, as opposed to the world that we’re seeing on these streets.”
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES AGAINST ICE

A man showed up to a recent Santa Clara City Council meeting in a Batman costume. He roasted local leaders for failing to protect residents from ICE ahead of the Super Bowl, which will be hosted in the city. He said: “You have had months to prepare,” adding: “I don’t give a damn if this is out of decorum.”
“Look me in the eye,” he said, demanding the council put in writing that no city resources would be diverted to ICE. He then asked: “Can any one of you go home to your children and tell them that you did everything you could to protect their classmates? … Their grandparents? … Them? I don’t think you can.”
Batman continued: “Right now, I stand in front of a council of cowards.” He said they would be “traitors” if they refused to act. The crowd erupted in applause, and thanks to his powerful testimony, they scheduled another meeting to determine what actions they’ll take. Sometimes, superheroes do wear capes.
BUTTIGIEG SPREADS TRUTH ON FOX

Pete Buttigieg went on Fox to confront their lies about Trump’s ICE. Speaking on the killing of Alex Pretti, Buttigieg said: “Seeing an American taken to the ground, having his gun removed, and then being shot in the back up to 10 times—and then having the government say he was a terrorist based on no evidence—I think most Americans will say, ‘We need a different direction.’”
After the host lied and said most Americans support Trump’s abuse of power, Buttigieg wasn’t having it: “When you see a 5-year-old kid in a Spider-Man backpack … being incarcerated this way—when you see an American woman opening her door to … federal agents in tactical gear … more tricked out than what I would take outside the wire in Afghanistan—most people get that is wrong. It is not making us safer.”
