A reckoning for Epstein enablers

LOTS OF POSTS IGNORED BY BLOGGER.....

ALL POSTS ARE AVAILABLE ON

MIDDLEBORO REVIEW AND SO ON

IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT SOME OF THOSE CHILDREN WHO WERE RAPED

AND ABUSED WERE 9 YEARS OLD AND 10 YEARS OLD!

THAT IS NOT DEFENSIBLE!

We are UltraViolet

This Wednesday at a swanky Palm Beach, Florida, hotel, one of Jeffrey Epstein's high-powered attorneys, Alan Dershowitz, will be honored with a "First Amendment Courage" award by RealClear Media.1 As a community of survivors and advocates, we can't imagine a more wretched choice. 🤮

Dershowitz is no friend to survivors. He attempted to discredit survivors in the past and even sued one for defamation. He doesn't deserve any award, let alone one for championing free speech. That's why we're crashing his awards ceremony on Wednesday with a mobile billboard truck calling out his connections to Epstein and his attempt to silence a survivor.

Please rush a donation of $10 to UltraViolet Action right now and help us hold ALL Epstein accomplices and enablers accountable!

As Epstein's attorney, Dershowitz helped get him a cushy plea deal in 2008, which allowed Epstein to continue abusing young women and girls for years until his death in 2019.2,3

Not only is Dershowitz mentioned in the Epstein files at least 137 times, Epstein survivor Virginia Guiffre said he abused her when she was underage.4 Two other Epstein survivors said they saw Dershowitz at Epstein's home when other girls were present.5,6 Predictably, Giuffre dropped her case against Dershowitz after he countersued her for defamation.7

Dershowitz is a bully and an Epstein enabler who even sued CNN for news coverage he didn’t like (CNN won by the way).8 We will not let the world forget who he really is.

Will you pitch in $10 for our Palm Beach billboard calling out Dershowitz and RealClear Media for honoring him?

The billboard is just one piece of a larger campaign to hold Epstein's accomplices and enablers accountable. We are still demanding that the Department of Justice (DOJ) release ALL the Epstein files. This latest tranche of files carelessly included survivors' names while abusers' names were redacted or not released at all.The DOJ's delayed release of the files and its failure to redact survivors' sensitive information violate legal requirements laid out in the Epstein Files Transparency Act.10 That's why UltraViolet Action is pushing Congress to hold Attorney General Pam Bondi in inherent contempt for breaking the law, and force the DOJ to release ALL of the Epstein files.11

We've also formed a research team of volunteers to identify perpetrators who, at the very least, should not be rewarded with plum positions. Most recently, on a member call, we identified Dershowitz as someone who aided Epstein, who holds views that are harmful to underage survivors and whose sphere of influence is still massive, despite it all.

In 1997, Dershowitz penned a Los Angeles Times Op-Ed arguing to lower the age for consent to 15, and even noted "reasonable people can disagree whether it should be as low as 14."12

We can't believe we have to say this, but 14- and 15-year-olds are children. Full stop. Grown-ass men sleeping with them isn't "consensual." It's rape.

Please consider a donation to UltraViolet Action today to hold institutions accountable for continuing to legitimize and promote child abuse enablers like Alan Dershowitz.

The public knows Alan Dershowitz is a dirtbag, yet institutions like Harvard University, where Dershowitz taught for 50 years, and right-wing media outlets, Fox News and RealClear Media, continue to lend him credibility. That's why we'll be outside the gala in Palm Beach to remind everyone that creeps like Dershowitz don't deserve awards.

We know our pressure works, and that survivors are powerful. The UltraViolet community locked arms with survivors to successfully pressure Fox News to drop Bill O'Reilly for sexual harassment.13 We were also part of a larger movement to oust Tucker Carlson for racist commentary.14

We can do this again, friends!

Thank you for supporting our work!
