Noem Goes Full Nazi This is not hyperbole Julie Roginsky Oct 23 ∙ Preview In the last forty-eight hours, the Department of Homeland Security has gone full Nazi. I don’t mean that as hyperbole or as a criticism of DHS’s tactics — although God knows the tactics are abhorrent and need to be criticized all day, every day. I mean legitimately, full Nazi in the literal sense, in ways that are not coincidental and that underscore exactly how far down the rabbit hole this administration has gone. Our government is borrowing from the Hitler playbook and, in the process, normalizing behavior that would have led to Secretary Kristi Noem’s resignation in any other post-World War II administration. Now, the media just shrugs and does not even cover what should be a monumental scandal. Let this sink in: the secretary of Homeland Security, whose ostensible job it is to protect the United States, presides over a department that is parroting Nazi Germany and the Ku Klux Klan. Have legacy journalists gotten so stupid and lazy that they do not remember what happened less than a century ago on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean when this kind of behavior was allowed to fester?
