STOP NETANYAHU'S CONTIUED STARVATION, ETHNIC CLEANSING & GENOCIDE!
NETANYAHU IS EXPANDING WARS & BOMBINGS THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST WITH US SUPPORT & WEAPONS!
PLEASE SPEAK OUT TO STOP ISRAEL'S KILLING OF CIVILIANS!
This week marks a new phase in the horrific violence we’ve seen in Gaza:
On Tuesday, people in Gaza City panicked as leaflets ordering them to evacuate in the face of an Israeli military operation to “obliterate the area” fell from the sky.[1] Bombings in the area, however, had already been intensifying for weeks.
Dozens of people are dead. Hundreds are wounded. Millions more remain at incredible risk. And it’s happening with the help of U.S. weapons.
In the face of famine in Gaza and escalating violence across the Middle East, the entire world should be doing all it can to END the bombings in Gaza.
As one of the strongest Israeli allies, the U.S. government has unmatched leverage to spare. Unfortunately, the Trump administration has proven unfit for the task. But the thing is, we don’t need Trump: Congress has the power to block the bombs. That’s why we need you to reach out to them immediately:
| ACT NOW |
For nearly two years, Israeli PM Netanyahu has used U.S. weapons to hold on to power, drive incomprehensible levels of human suffering, and push an entire region toward all-out war — all while failing to bring the remaining hostages home safely.
And as Jared Kushner once again joins key meetings with Israeli government officials, the Trump-Netanyahu ethnic cleansing plan to permanently displace Palestinians from Gaza appears to be moving dangerously apace.
But a dam is breaking: In early 2024, just 11 senators voted to request a simple human rights report on the Israeli government’s actions in Gaza. Only 15 senators voted to halt a similar weapons transfer to the Israeli government earlier this year.
On July 30, however, a group of 27 senators voted to block U.S.-made bombs and rifles bound for the Israeli government. Their votes sent a clear message: It’s time to use U.S. leverage to end the horrific war in Gaza, get the remaining hostages back to their families, and protect people across the Middle East.
The public is with us. New polling shows that 60 percent of U.S. voters oppose the United States sending more military aid to the Israeli government to use in Gaza.[2]
Simple math will tell you 27 votes isn’t enough, and we know all too well that polling alone doesn’t equal success. That’s why we’re not letting up on the pressure for one second. We’re working overtime to get the majorities we need in Congress that can end an era of U.S. complicity in Gaza and beyond.
The progress we’re making isn’t happening as fast as we’d like or as people in Palestine, Israel, and beyond deserve, but make no mistake — we’re turning the tide.
It’s time to keep going. Today, the choice between a continued devastating war and a deepening of the crisis, OR taking a step toward saving lives and ending U.S. complicity, is clear. Let’s push Congress toward the path of peace and justice.
Thank you for working for peace,
